Postpaid Mobile Connection — Receiving calls of pre-allottee of the number

I bought a Vodafone post paid connection from its co. outlet about 2 years back. The no. allotted to me is [protected]. It came to my knowledge very lately that this no. was earlier belonging to a person known to be Vivek Srivastava who is a defaulter of many banks & other institutions dealing in financial matters. Now till today I am receiving calls of Vivek Srivastava from different numbers almost every day which has become a big headache for me. When i complaint to Vodafone, after my lot of follw up they simply suggested me to change the no. You can well understand that changing a no. is not so easy as it has been given to so many persons of my contact. More to say that I often remain on roaming where such futile calls of previous owner cost me a lot.
I humbly request your intervention to it so that i get rid of such calls and penalise the Vodafone suitably
