I used Reliance Communications WLL Phone number[protected] yesterday (10 May 2009) at 21:50 hrs to call a BSNL Land Line, which is about 25 kilo meters from my place. The call lasted for about 50 minutes. The Reliance Communications deducted Rs 45 from my Prepaid WLL Account instead of deducting Rs 15 (for <50 kms the rate is 90 paise for 180 seconds).
I request other Reliance Communications Customers to be very alert and use *333 or *367 frequently to check your balance after every call. There are numerous complaints in the Internet and at Reliance Franchise Shops about Reliance Communications starting several paid services on their own and charging the Customers. Whenever the Customer asks, they lie that the Customer has started the service.
I suggest the affected Tamil Nadu Customers (other States please refer to http://www.trai.gov.in/sp/RELIANCE.pdf) to Email their complaints to the following Email addresses,
