Reliance Communications — Unauthorised activation of services and balance deduction | |||
Hi, I have a Reliance Hello connection (No: [protected]) at Meerut- Uttar Pradesh. Since January several services has been activated without my information from Reliance End and I have been charged around Rs 300/- for the same, out of which Rs 165/- have been charged since Mar 15, 2011. Every time I called the customer care I get the same answer “All the services were activated on your request and the company do not start the service by itself” And when asked about when I requested for the activation of service the response every time was “We do not have any information on when you requested the service, we can only provide information when the balance was deducted” On 23rd April 2011, I called up the customer care and asked to de-activate all the services and never to activate any service again, I have also registered on “Do Not Call Registry” on April 06, 2011 Still today one service was activated and Rs 30 charged. I called up the customer care and again they could not provide any information about when I requested for the service. This is highly Unprofessional at company’s end. I request you to intervene to reverse all the charges which I have been charged since Jan 2011 on behalf of these services And also take note to: 1. Deactivate all services except for CLIP, Voice calls and SMS 2. Never to activate any service again 3. I got Rs 70 refunded to my account yesterday, as told by your representative on phone this amount was charged in the month of April.
But I have been charged continuously since January and I repeat that:
1. None of the services activated and hence charged were requested by me.
2. All the services were activated by the company on its own
3. I have never used any of the services.
Considering the fact that:
1. This is a "Reliance Hello" phone and not a mobile phone
2. This is used by my parents, both of whom are over 60 years of age
It is just a matter of not noticing the deductions for sometime.
You have reversed charges only for April and not from Jan 2011 to March 2011.
Is it fair on part of the company to activate some service, keep charging until the customer notices and register a complaint (ignore the complaint few times) and later reverse part of the total amount charged?
So please revert the entire amount charged for any VAS service since Jan 2011
