Being billed after applying for termination of my account. (legal action for no reason)
I am a really frustrated reliance customer. I have used the netconnect + for a while and i had not paid the bill for about 3 months till January 2012. I wanted to cancel my connection so i called in and asked them to cancel my connection. They said i would first have to pay my due amount. They also said that after i pay i could apply for termination of my netconnect + connection and that it would be terminated in about a week or two for which i would have to pay again. I was not happy with that but as i had not choice i waited till my bank account was credited with my salary and that was the 5th of Feb. I paid my bill sometime between the 5th and 13th of February and i had also called in to cancel my connection. They said that my connection will be terminated in about a week or two and when i asked them they also said that i would get a waiver for the amount for the last few days if i don't use my connection at all. So i believed my connection was terminated completely and i waited for the last bill. I have not used my netconnect+ ever since then. Then i got an E-mail on the 6th of march saying i would have to pay Rs 584/-. I was really frustrated and called the customer service again and they said that my connection was cancelled and that they reactivated it again. I was so frustrated and i asked them how could they reactivate my account without my permission. Then i got a waiver E-mail and then the next month the bill goes up to Rs 1143, then i get a reminder and then the bill for the month of may which was Rs 2085/-. And now i am really frustrated. I am being billed every month after i have paid my due in February just to cancel my account and i have called the customer service up to have my connection terminated and they said that my connection will be terminated and i was ready to pay the last bill as well. Now i am really frustrated as i have gotten a message saying pay your bill as some Customer Demand notice is generated against my non payment of HSD and i am also asked to pay the bill as soon as possible to avoid legal action. What in the world is going on??? The customer service is so non-cooperative. I have called them a lot of times to no avail. I really don't understand why i have to pay when i have cancelled the connection in February and have not used my connection ever since. Now i have received a legal notice in my mail.
