Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus — Wrong Billing Policy

i am still a costumer but of Reliance Netconnect service. My data card number is [protected]. I am availing this service from 13th Oct 2009. Initially my service plan was BROADBAND+15GB and I took the service in which one month usage of the data was free(Under 15GB usage were said to be free for the first month).

My first bill of Rs 0.0 was generated on 25th Oct 2009. My usage was 693051.9 Kb which can be converted to .6609GB. Now this thing was in my mind that I haven’t used my plan well. So, from 25th of oct 2009 to 12th of Nov (the date where my plan ends) I used 12432465 KB of my limited usage which can be converted to 11.8565 GB.

My monthly consumption of data from 13th oct to 13th nov 2009 was 12.5174 GB, which comes under the limited usage of permitted 15GB.

From 13th nov onwards I changed my plan to BROADBAND +1 GB day+10 GB Night.

Now on 25th nov 2009 my next bill from 25th oct to 25th nov was generated which says I have exceeded 2,727.00 MB during the period (From 25th oct to 13th nov )and is costing me another sum of Rs 1,363.50 to the total amount. (This is mentioned on the 3th page last row of my bill ).

I have talked to the Costumer Care regarding this issue and they told me about the method of the calculation which involves that silly formulae of calculating the exceed amount of the usage. [(Total Consumption) – {(total allowance)/30 * no. of days}] * .50 Rs.

Following are my issues regarding the bill

1. Why my unused allowed data which I didn’t consumed before the generation of the bill was carry forwarded to the next days of the month when I was in the same plan. Otherwise I could have used my data limit well during those days. I was allowed to use 5.8066 GB of data as per your intensively researched formulae but as a dumb I planned it use during the last days of the month and I only used .6609GB, which means I was fooled by as huge as 5.1397 GB, size of data.

2. If this is the rule of Reliabce then why it wasn’t made clear to me that your unused allowed consumption of the data will be washed as soon as u get the first bill. Otherwise I have been wise using my limit.

3. Why my billing cycle is 25th of every month when I started my services on 13th of the oct. If it were so I didn’t have to pay that overhead amount and everything would have been smooth, as I thought initially. I didn’t know that my billing date is going to be 25th of every month.


I have send the above details to the netconnect service department of the reliance and in the reply they have said that the bill was charged correctly and the billing was done on the prodata basis just because of the change in plan during the billing cycle.

They are calculating both the amounts (Before and after the change in plan) on the prodata basis which is a huge question.

last so many time i have problem in connection in device. I go for your noodle office in Ahmedbad. He was given me suggestion of replaceing your data card.


My problem is : My device is not working after 10p.m. becasuse i have selected plan night plan 10 G.B. Free. but when i use after 10 i have not connectivity of device. the problem is still contiune.
Note : My data card also work properly before 10 p.m.

please check my connection in your server. it also tell about true things of my datacard.

Your company is not properly services for Customer care.

This is my last replay for that If this problem is contiune i go for GRAHAK SURKHA IN AHMEDABAD. Because i am no replay of your side.

Reliance Netconnect — Charging Bill for unused period also

I have stopped using Reliance Netconnect Broadband Service some 3 to 4 months back. Even though the service is supsended they are still charging me per month rent. They are asking me to pay the bill till date.
