[Resolved]  Reliance Netconnect — Excess billing by putting in wrong plans

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE AND GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE SUBSCRIBING TO THE SAME. AT THE OUTSET, YOU WILL BE PURPOSELY PUT UNDER A WRONG LOW USAGE PLAN OF 1 GB EVEN IF YOU HAVE ASKED FOR A HIGHER PLAN. AS YOU START USING THE SERVICE AND UNKNOWINGLY, AS YOUR USAGE EXCEEDS 1GB YOU WILL START GETTING BILLED AT RS 2 PER EXTRA MB USED. SO, YOU WILL END UP WITH A BILL RUNNING INTO THOUSANDS AND WILL BE ARM TWISTED TO PAY THE AMOUNT FOR NO FAULT OF YOURS. THIS IS A NEW STRATEGY THE COMPANY IS ADOPTING TO MAKE MONEY BY UNFAIR MEANS.

I subscribed to a 10 GB plan in August 09 and was shocked to get a bill of Rs 3814 dated 11-Sep-09.
Since I had subscibed for a 10 GB plan, I was supposed to get a bill of only Rs 1250 while the balance of Rs 2564 was excessively charged to me. On calling up the company, I found out that I was put under the 1 GB plan and this excess amount was due to my usage beyond 1 GB. After numerous follow-ups and writing to the company several times, I was given a waiver of Rs 1210 only that too as if a big favor was done to me. Instead of giving a waiver of the entire Rs 2,564 carried , forward in the next 11-Oct-09 bill, I was waived off only Rs 1,212.20 and the balance of Rs 1,352 is still outstanding in my name.

I have again started getting calls to pay this extra amount, which I had to do against my wishes. Just imagine what a gameplan the company has. First, put the customer under a wrong plan, charge him extra and then waive off a little amount and force him to pay the balance. Real cool way to make money by unlawful means and also get away with it. Please beware of this service and this chor company
