We filed a Consumer Complaint ( no MSDF/91/2004 dtd 10/03/04) at the Mumbai Suburban District Consumer Redressal Forum at Bandra, Mumbai. The Judgment for the same was delivered after nearly six years, on 05/01/10. The Order is quoted as

ORDER

(1) The Complaint is partly allowed

(2) The Opposite Parties are directed to hold , in future,
Annual General Meeting of the club as per the
Constitution of the club and to provide the Complainants
Copy of the Annual Audited Accounts of the club

(3) The Opposite parties shall restore the Constitution of the
Club, if there has been Unilateral amendment to the same unless
Amendment is effected on following due produce as above.

(4) In view of partial success of the both parties, no order as to cost.

(5) Copies of this order be furnished to both the parties.

Mr Kashinath Hegde has spoken to the Customer Service of Karma Royal Group since he posted his comment above.

The matter was resolved with him satisfactorily and he will be removing this complaint soon. He has agreed to post a retraction if he cannot remove the original statement.

As he is out of station he has stated this will be done next week.

Any other questions or issues arising always feel free to contact the Member Services Department in the first instance, the Manager if not resolved quickly or refer to me at [protected]@royalperspective.com a a last resort.

I also fell prey to RGBC Scam and have full and final payment of 1, 91, 000/ in April 2010. But now they are not giving booking for any resort even 6 months in advance. I want refund of all amount, are we going to do something. May we, we unite and follow the legal procedure. Let's discuss.

I became a member last year, I am fed up with them, they are charging huge maintainance fee, I have 198 unutilized points for this year, I asked them to sell them and pay themselves for the maintainance but they have refused to do so.

I am not interested in continuing so, looking for ways to get rid of them.

Dear Royal goan beach club Members,

The royal goan beach club is covered under constitution. Each and every member has right to get minutes of Annual Body meeting and of course right to vote the Managing comitee.Members can also ask for list of other members and their contact details from the club administration.

The club administration is bound to look into memebers griveance.

The club has to give priority to its member in accomodation bookings. The booking system should be online so as to be more transparent.

The club should not book more than 50% accomodation to non-members against payments.

There should be atleast 50% members at any given time of the total occupancy.

If the club is not able to provide this basic rerquirement they should immediately stop the process of making new members.

and at last if club fails to fullfill above basic requirements it should refund all the money to the members with interest and should remove club from its name.

Consumer court has ordered them to refund the money. Hope we can do somthing similar for RGBC quickly.

Sir,
I would like to retract my complaint regarding refund of money paid by me for ownership of their holiday package. Now I have entered into a amicable settlement with the Karma Royal group and I have no more grouse against them. I request you to stop tracing my complaint with them.

I WAS A ROYAL GOA'S MEMBER IN 1996 onwards and continued paying MAITAINANCE PER YEAR TILL 2006 ! Within that period i had utilized my holidays only once at goa for 4days .meanwhile that period only i had authorised them to rentout my WEEK to the needy as per their Suggestion so could recover some money for maintainance atleast! I am sure they must have rented my week and never paid me my money!
I couldnot continue paying maitainance 2006 onwards due to my JOB !
Recently i was on holidays in GOA for 3days two months back and to my Good or Bad luck got caught in their TRAP again !
I thought since i am a RETIRED from my JOB, lets activate my membership so can utilise Holidays ! They activated my membership but had to pay extra money and now agreed to pay in EMI s as per new contract, but now My membership No changed to Junior lot,
CAN ANYONE PLEASE GUIDE ME IF I HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING OR NOT?

We are the current cheated persons by karma royal group (prestige holiday resort pvt. Limited) . and when we tried contacting them, they eventually stoped contacting us . Moreover when we tried sending a email to their representative " Ms MUMTAZ SHAIK and MR . NARENDRA " these people denied giving the necessary details for my 50000 RUPEE REFUND and their higher authority contacts . These people are a big defaulters . SO PLEASE TRY HELPING ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHO EVER IS OUT THEIR, SO THAT I CAN SUE THEIR UP .

I visited RGBC Hathi Mahal recently. This booking I got first time to utilize since 1996. Most of the times it was not available suitable to my vacation plans. The resort is really in a good shape considering the increasingly high management charges paid by us since last so many years.
I also visited one marketing session in Mumbai arranged by Karma for explaining a new product where the deposited amount will be returned with interest (after 15 years) with proper bonds, legal formalities etc. They also told us that if someone buy this new scheme, they will buy-back our existing membership for approx. 5 Lac. In this new product no annual management charges to be paid but the lump sum one time investment is very high ( between 20 Lac to 30 Lac).
In same session, I could find another option / information which might be useful for some o[censored]s which are financially affected. They mentioned that we can discontinue paying the mgmt. charges ( which is approx. 35000 as of 2018) but membership will be “suspended” and whenever in future ( say after 5 years) we want to again start using this membership, we can pay 2 years mgmt. charge as penalty and the membership can be restarted. This feature might be useful to “founder members” who are promised to get the money back after 99 years period or if the RGBC is dissolved/sold etc. This way the legal heirs of the member can recover some money in the future.
If many eligible members take such a step, RGBC will definitely wake-up and find some amicable solution which could be a win-win situation for all stakeholders.
