With us was a senior citizen, he misbehaved with him as well.
Very rude and arrogant.
Please take appropriate action.

I am an Employee in the IT Sector (Sector 5). My office hours usually ends at 7:30. Many taxi keep plying on the route. But every taxi refuses to go to Sealdah. Just they say "No" and get away......Strict action must be taken on this

I know there is no action taken on this types of complaints, infact i wonder does anyone also look at these complaints, i work at DEPARTMENT OF ATOMIC ENERGY near gateway and i try n request taxi wala to come to gateway from CST station but, they are so arrogant that they straight away abused me and this had happened many times, but who has time to arrgue with these in the morning so i just iggnored it , but today morning when i was asking a taxi wala to come to gateway he directly said no to me, i asked him why he said "Bola na Ek baar nahi ayega to samaj me nahi aata kya' these are the words used by them.
See my Fiancée is an advocate, i am going to take action about this shortly ,but before that i need your help for this. I request you people to suggest me what to do or else i am ready to go to the extreme level through police and court.

Autos in Mumbai — Refusal of auto Drivers to take a passenger

The Autos near Seepz/MIDC area always refuse to carry any passenger to Andheri Station/Kanjurmarg/Powai.
there is a group of auto drivers who park their Autos near TCS office, opp Tunga Paradise, but refuse to go anywhere especially during Peak hours(around 6 pm to 8:30pm).
Because they park their autos in this lane, their is hardly any spcae left for others to walk or drive any vehicle.
Urge you to look into this and either fine these auto drivers or sabotage their Driving license, so that no other auto drivers refuse to take anyother passenger.

I want to lodge a complaint about a Cabbie whose taxi no is MH 01 AT 984, MH 01 AM 7877 & MH 01 AM 9414 at Byculla (Mumbai Central). All these taxi are MaAruti Van and they do not take passenger, but carry only luggages from near by small scale industries. Thery not even reply to Old or Ill peopl who wnats to reach hospital. One of case is mine where i need to carry my family member to hospital for delivery as she was pregnent even at that time they refuse. Hence it is requested to take immediate action as these activities may even cuase a life.

i want to make complaiant to RTO against Taxi Driver at Dadar Station. Mostly punjabi group drivers cheats passage after seating in their taxi they asking change in night were their is no lights. When the 500 or 1000 rupees handover to driver, they says that it is hundred rupees this processes repeats so many times after that is partner get down taxi and announces that taxi puncher and passager take another taxi. it happen many time with me

to whomsoever it may concerned, this is to bring to the notice of the RTO persons that autos outside the malls, on highways, or i[censored] ask them for going east to west or west to east the auto drivers refuse to travel also i[censored] ask them to travel for short distance they refuse it.Auto drivers according to me are not to be blamed for that, the reason mainly behind is the system which helps them to do so.Tempered meters, not to travel short distances are all known to rto officials.so what r the reasons that rto cannot improvise the system or take stict action against the ppl behind this, whom r they afraid of, if the rto wants to improve the system they can easily do it but??????????????????????????think over it and try to make the life of mumbai ppl hassle free so that they can say this is it.

Typically a taxi fare from Cotton Green to Colaba, early morning should not come over Rs. 85/- max on a taxi fitted with digital meter..
However this taxi MH-01 A 8571 had his charge riding as high as Rs. 115/- On enquiring, he states that it is his regular charge. I am amazed how taxis fitted with digital meters are being tampered and so blatently.
On insisting being taken to the nearby traffic police, he relented to settle at Rs. 85; albeit after showing abuses and foul words.
When will the taxi service in mumbai get cleaned up of this unclean, unkempt, filthy immigrant drivers who neither believe in personal hygiene, cleanliness in the car, ruthless tampering of meter and foul language

I want to post a complaint against errant taxi driver MH-01 A 8571. Typically a taxi fare from Cotton Green to Colaba in a taxi fitted with digital meter should come exceed Rs. 85/- (max)for an early morning fare with no traffic.

However this particular taxi has tampered his meter so much that the meter read Rs 115/-. On enquiring he said it was the regular fare. Asked him to take me to the Colaba traffic police at the next signal; he relented at Rs. 85/- . Ofcourse muttering abuses and foul language.

Can Mumbai taxis ever clean up from abusive, unkempt, cheating immigrant taxi drivers - who do not believe in personal hygiene (kept spitting all thru the distance, using his fingers to clean his nose, teeth and eyes), keep the car interior filthy and dirty, cheating and tampering meters and using foul language language at customers!

Today 30.08.11 while commuting at andheri chakala signal around 9.00 pm a tata bus no MH 43 H 910 was driving recklessly & was about to bang my car from behind rightside . . when intercepted the driver started abusing with aggressive gesture which was awful .. there were other fellow commuters also face the same issue . i probably believe the driver was drunk .

requesting to the concern authority to kindly take a stern action against that driver

i want to lodge a compaint about a taxi driver (taxi no: MH 01 AT 2440) whose taxi was showing on hire but he had purposely started the meter which was showing the bill of 51rs. i asked him to drop me at saatrasta but he said that the taxi is already on hold by someone else. but i came to know that he was lieing... he wanted a long distance passenger.

I would request you to take some strict action against this person as there was another taxiwala who also gave the same excuse but i could not trace his number...

I hope like other complaints my complaint will not fall on deaf ears as i cannot see any action been taken on the above complaints.

Yes. I deal with this kind of behaviour from taxi drivers everyday. Not to mention other ways of cheating like rigging their meters, trying to take longer routes and at times out and out exploitation in which the police are allied with them. Bombay is an extremely corrupt and third-world city, and it will remain such forever simply because of the mentality of the people residing in it.

It's gotten so bad with the taxi drivers that I no longer feel any sympathy for them, and actually let out a derisive snort when I hear of terrorists planting bombs in taxis and blowing them up to send the driver to his rightful abode, or rioting civilians setting fire to taxis. I imagine the greedy cabbies must have been delighted to hear a terrorist promise to pay them some inflated amount and for once, the tables are turned and the cabbie is cheated of his life. Serves them right, I'd say. Utter scum of society.

There are a number of taxis parked in front o[censored]sha Sadan, Colaba Post Office every morning. However, they all refuse to ply short distances claiming that they have regular passengers.

Secondly, they are parked at the Bus Stop inconveniencing all commuters who have to dodge them to get on or alight from BEST buses.

One taxi driver (MH01AT3237) persistently refuses all fares all the time, as he has (or claims to have) a regular customer who patronises him. In my opinion if he operates his taxi for one sole individual, he should not be driving a taxi but a commercial vehicle.

Inorbit Malad-West, Mumbai 400064 Signals, RustomJi /SBI junction Signal. No constables to mann the signals, but busy collecting...?? 20 mts away . It seems they are trained only for collections... and not manning the signals
