Sahara Prime City Limited was supposed to construct a township in Chennai under their brand SAHARA CITY HOMES and agreed to handover by 2007. After a lot of persuasion and argument the company has responded which is a repeat of their 2005 and 2006 version. A copy of the same is pasted here :

This is with reference to your booking in Sahara City Homes Chennai
project. We would like to avail this opportunity to express our sincere
thanks to you for reposing your faith in our prestigious project.

The process of land acquisition for Chennai project has been completed and
necessary processes for land use change, township & unit layout,
construction approvals would take place shortly after completion of
certain proceedings at our end.

Simultaneously, process for attaining Environment Impact Assessment (EIA)
Certification, which has been mandated by the Government for protection of
environment, is also underway. Since this process involves approvals from
government at various levels, therefore as a tentative estimate, it would
take approximately 15 months for receipt of all relevant approvals and
launch of the project.

We share your eagerness in seeing the fruition of your investments and
aspirations and would like to assure you of our fullest co-operation with
government agencies to ensure earliest possible approvals and
construction.

However, in case it is not possible for you to hold your booking any
longer under the present scenario, we would like to reassure you that
should you so desire, your booking amount can be refunded alongwith
interest @6% p.a. thereupon.
