[Resolved]  Saravana Gas Agency — Harassment on basis of two connections

About 15 days ago I made oral complaint to the Indian Oil Corporation, about weight loss in one cylinder supplied to me. However, after attending to the complaint the gas agency mentioned above suddenly sent a letter on 20.1.2011 a letter dated 18.1.11 to me stating that I am having two connections in two names namely one on my father's name (R.Srinivasan 1+1) and one on my name (S.Krishnaswamy 1cylinder). They have stated that I have given two different door numbers. This is wrong. When the first registration was done (28.2.2007) the door no was 18 Sundarar St. New Perungalathur, and subsequently, the door number was changed by the Panchayat union as 10-A, Sundarer street, New Perungalathur. I have immediately orally informed that the door no has been changed by the Panchayat Union. Subsequently , a connection in my father's name was registered on 28.11.2007 (with two cylinders). My father, is 90 years old and he got this connection as early as 1970. He is having separate kitchen facility, since he is orthodox and wants separate cooking. As such separate cooking is done in a different place with partition. However, now the gas agency is unnecessarily asking me to surrender one connection. All these years the same agency accepted the connections and were supplying gas cylinders to me. Just because I exercised the option of checking the weight, now the agency chose to harrass me like this. All these years the agency never objected to it. Is it wrong on my part to lodge complaint? After, seeing many advertisements in the National TV about consmer protection and rights I lodged a complaint. Is it a sin to make a complaint in our country and face harassment? Kindly guide me as to what further action I can take in this matter. How can I get my right protected?
