[Resolved]  SCB CREDIT CARDS — misreporting in cibil

For credit account ending with 6323 and 0577 an amount of Rs.15, 426.00 was paid. The payment amount was unilaterally decided by the bank & without addressing my concerns on the card account. The CIBIL report amount also didn't not tally with bank statements. I had no other option other than paying the bank the amount at the earliest to get my name removed from CIBIL list to avoid further financial losses.

On payment of the dues I came to know from SCB that there was another card account ending 9625 in my name for which an annual fee of Rs. 1, 200.00 along with the corresponding service tax was billed in the October 2004 statement.SBI claim that due to nonreceipt of payment towards the remaining annual fees financial charges were levied to my card account, and thus lead to an amount of Rs. 10, 655.71 outstanding in my card ending 9625.However on receipt of Rs.15, 426.00 as a service gesture, the bank had arranged to reverse the amount of Rs. 10, 655.71 outstanding in my card ending 9625.As per SCB, post the aforesaid reversals; there will be no amount outstanding in your card ending 9625.SCB had also reversed the financial charges billed to my card ending 0577for which Rs.15, 426.00 was paid. As on date, there is no amount outstanding in your card ending 0577.

Though the status is not yet updated with CIBIL but the clearance letter had been provided by SCB.

The card account ending with 9625 for which SCB has made charges is free card only.In this regard it is important to mention that SCB have sent yearly charges every year even for the credit account ending 6323 and 0577 though it was lifetime free. The charges were reversed only on written communication from my side.

They have not followed RBI guidelines on reporting negative credit report to CIBIL which says:

"Before reporting default status of a credit card holder to the Credit Information Bureau of India Ltd. (CIBIL) or any other credit information Company authorized by RBI, banks / NBFCs may ensure that they adhere to a procedure, duly approved by their Board, including issuing of sufficient notice to such card holder about the intention to report him/ her as defaulter to the Credit Information Company.''

SCB failed to send bills properly & have demanded for payment of incorrect dues for card account ending with 9625 which are few years old which they adjusted with Rs.15, 426.00.

At this point of time I feel to be cheated due to the unfair practice followed by SCB in my case.
CIBIL account status as of now for SCB is as follows:

My experience says some officers seem to have some relatives in SCB Legal department and they try their level best to push even some good paying clients to CIBIL situations and may they are helping in increasing the legal department count.

Rather than solving any issue they are expert in creating and then complicating the issue and are expert in abusing and shouting at the customer.
