[Resolved]  SETC Buses — Rash driving of buses and use of city roads

The buses of Tamilnadu express transport corporation are subject to very rash driving by the drivers, who care the least about other users of the roads. They don't bother to stop at signals and follow other rules when driving. The bus stand was shifted to Koyembedu to avoid the buses inside the city and to avoid traffic snarls. Even though there is a by pass road, which leads out of the city, the buses prefer to ply inside the city, in highly populated residential areas. Following the footsteps of the govt buses, the private buses also ply through the city roads. As such the roads are full of vehicles of all sizes. This practice of these buses in the city roads leads to severe traffic jams. The state government as well as the police dept are keeping quiet for reasons unknown. In spite of several complaints, no action has been taken in this regard.
