I have booked ticket (online reservation) for travel to my hometown and 1 day before the date of journey I found that the bus service was cancelled for that specific day, bu SETC department (which was not my mistake). So I sent a request letter to refund my money, to SETC office with printout of my ticket. But even after 50 days I have not recieved the amount back. Also they are not responding properly. So people please try to avoid booking...

Rash driving of buses and use of city roads
The buses of Tamilnadu express transport corporation are subject to very rash driving by the drivers, who care the least about other users of the roads. They don't bother to stop at signals and follow other rules when driving. The bus stand was shifted to Koyembedu to avoid the buses inside the city and to avoid traffic snarls. Poor Service for ladies
Hi,
I am a regular traveller of SETC. I travelled to Chennai from Trichy on 10th May-2009 in 10 PM bus.
I guess, seat nos 9 and 10 will be allocated for ladies. But on that day, seat no 9 was alloted to a guy and 10 was alloted to me. I was asked the conductor to change my seat, as I was not feeling comfortable in travelling with a guy during night. But he was not taken any action regarding this.
