[Resolved]  Skoda Superb — faulty exhaust and a/c system

i ve been using preowned skoda superb registration no. MH-04-CT- 8900,The car has some problem in its exhaust and a/c , which inspite of complainting and getting repaired for 3 times over the period of 15 months
stands unsolvable due to which i cant drive the car around because the car does not take pick up and cant climb a uphill,
I wish to return the car to the manufaturer in case they cant solve the problem and make the car drivable for me as I ve spend a fortune to buy the car as I was in awe of the machine for its renowned engeneering

I am writing this letter to you with the utmost disappointment and I have been regretting consistently for the contemptible treatment by Gurudev motors Service Centre, Guindy Chennai. I have bought Skoda, Superb Car in February 2011, Reg No:HR26-BG 7569 Ever since I started using this car, I was not much happy with the air conditioning system of it. Many times I happened to sweat inside the car and my friends were also felt the suffocation. Thus, I had decided to provide the car to the service center to inquire about the problem. Earlier, the service center authorities wanted the car to be in their custody for 10 days and they had informed me that compressor should have to be changed. I have granted them for the finest service to be done and I was eagerly expecting the salubrious air conditioning system on return. However, failing all my expectation, the AC inside the car had so salutary feature. My happiness and joy for having such a prestigious car has been discouraged. Many times I have been self humiliating myself for such worthless service by the center. Later, I wanted to ensure a thorough and careful service to be done on AC system in my Car. I gave the car for the second time to the same service center. The authorities had inspected the car and they told me that the compressor should be changed again. I was clueless to figure out what might be happening with the car, but, with the positive notes, I had to accept to change the compressor again. But, on that day, I was treated disgracefully and sordidly by the service center authorities. They kept me waited for more than three hours and they never replied me properly for any question. No one in the center was capable of showing hospitality and to my wonder I could not see any kindness among them. In particular the person who known to be Murali was very rough and ruthless in attending a customer. His nonchalance towards the customer queries and the service center’s inhospitable environment did not qualify the outfit to be an esteemed car service center. However, despite all the humiliation and disgracefulness, the problem in the car is yet not rectified and the function of the AC is still unimpressive. There is another problem with the car that I have changed 3 tubeless tyres within 20000 km for which I feel unnecessary and not a reputed sophistication for such a prestigious car.

Hence, I kindly report you that the fervency about my Skoda, Superb has been sapped. I was also disrespectfully treated by the Service center people and at the same cost my work is also not done. I require your earnest consideration and to requesting you to militate action against erring employees in the center.

Against Skoda’s Unethical Conduct

Dear Fellow,

I have recently had a terrible experience with Skoda which has costed me a lot of money, harassment and still an unreliable Skoda Superb car. Astonishingly, The Skoda Company is hands-in-gloves with its Dealerships & Authorized Workshops, who are given a free-hand to exploit customers and fleece them mercilessly by Skoda itself.

I empathize with the similar exploitation inflicted on you by Skoda and hence urge you to not let it just be at the hands of foreign companies, who think of India as a dumping ground and Indian Customers a bunc of weak, uneducated .

I am creating a forum of 100 similar sufferers who can together jointly address our issues with Skoda to apt regulatory, media, public and rating agencies till we get a resolution.

Await your revert and support to reclaim what is rightfully ours.

I have been using Skoda Superb, in Mumbai for last over two years.
The AC in the car has a problem, and in case the driving time is in excess of 2 hours, the cooling becomes a problem, the AC needs to be adjusted, as the vehicle starts heating up, and indicator reaches red area.
This appears to be a manufacturing defect, and the service centre ha no clue about the same.
My car has been sent to service centres, at the regular intervals, of the scheduled service times, as indicated at the time of purchase, and each time AC related problem has not been attended by the Service Centre. In fact, couple of occasions, the car was sent back, for AC related problems, immediately after it came back from the service.
For last two days, the car is in the garage, and the fellow at Seweri Garage is not in a position to find any reason, why the AC is not functioning.
Couple of days ago, the car has to be stopped to cool after it ran for approximately 30 KM, in Mumbai evening peak traffic, (Nariman point to Goregoan, between 7 pm and 9.30 pm), for about 20 minutes. Post that also, we had to run the car, with window glasses down (with AC Off), so that the car does not heat.
This needs to be factored in while taking a decision to go for this vehicle.
