[Resolved]  South Western Railway (Southern Railway) — Train ticket reserved, unable to travel, on account of non assistance from Railway officials

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

Sir,

Please be informed that, on 13th October 2011, I have booked Train reservation e-ticket thru' IRCTC vide PNR No.[protected] from Mysore Junction to Bangalore city (SBC) and the details are given here below.

TRAIN No. & NAME : 56213 / Tirupati Passenger
DATE OF JOURNEY : 16th October 2011
No. of PASSENGERS : 02
COACH No. : S3
BERTH DETAILS : 65 & 68 (Both are Lower berths)

NAME OF THE PASSENGERS : a) NARASIMHA MURTHY
b) HEMALATHA N K

On the date of journey, I have arrived at Mysore Railway station and the train arrived from Chamarajanagar at 1645 hours. There was lot of crowd and by the time I got into the train, somebody occupied our reserved seats. When we told them to vacate our reserved seats, it was told to us to complain to anybody, they will not going to vacate the seats. When I personally met Railway police force constable to help us out to get our seats, it was conveyed to us to contact the concerned TT. When I checked about TT, TT was present in S1 coach and he was not in a position to help us out. The people were using filthy lauguage to us and either people or TT, not at all co-operating. Since, the departure time is at 1700 hours, and there was no time left with us to address this issue with the concerned, we travelled in the same train, like general ticket holders and there was no space in the compartment, even to stand. Even there was no basic infrastructure in the coach. There was no light and fan. Since, my wife is a cancer patient, she was not in a position to breath also. Such an environment created inside the compartment. At Maddur, about 1900 hours, somebody pulled chain to drag the attention of the concerned that there is no light in the compartment. Afterwards, the emergency light were lit up and no fan service available. We were forced to travel in that train by standing till Bangalore City junction. No body came for our rescue. If this is the scene for reserved passengers, imagine about unreserved passengers. No TT has visited our compartment. You can very well check with other passengers, who has got reserved tickets like me and their situation is also, same as mine.

Even though, I was having valid reserved ticket, I am unable to make use of my reservation and now, i do not know to whom I need to complain in this regard.

Hence, I am requesting you to please take it up with the concerned and make good of the losses with due compensation, for the inconvenience we faced.

Hope my request will be addressed favourably.
Thanks and regards,
N K N MURTHY
