[Resolved]  Spice Jet Airlines — Flight cancellation

I had booked a to and fro flight (MUMBAI-KOCHI-MUMBAI) on Spicejet for 4 May and return on 6 May. I had booked this ticket in first week of April. However in the third week of April I got a message that both the flight have been cancelled. I checked with the customer care and they said that there was some work going on in Cochin airport which is clashing with the Spicejets timings (Between 10am - 1 pm was my flight) and hence they had to cancel the flights.
But, there are other flights (Airdeccan, Indigo) which are flying to Kochi during that period and their flights are not cancelled. Also when I requested the customer care to send me a copy of the letter which they have received from Kochi airport, they said they cannot send it.
Shouldn't spicejet share this information (letter from Kochi airport) with its customers?
I think since the recent fuel price increase it may not be viable for the company to service this sector and as a result they have cancelled the flights, and they are giving strage reason so that it can be accomodated under their policy

My Luggage has been mishandled by SPICEJET while on flight DEL-BLR-DEL BY SPICEJET. I lodged formal complaint (# CR/27951/2008 ) with airlines on BLR airport.

I am trying to contact SPICEJET about my complaint via email and telephone. But my emails (7th Jan and 12 Jan ) has not been responded by airline.

I am also not able to talk to any of the SPICEJET representatives on the telephone numbers provided by airlines, these numbers has not been responded by anyone even if you hold it for tens of minutes.

Today on[protected] I again try but result all in vein. Then I find out Local BLR SPICEJET number to talk. After talking about 2 minutes, my call has been disconnected or disconnected by accident and after that number was switched off([protected])

SG-285 from Bangalore to Ahmedabad dated Jan 31 2014 is cancelled, I just got a email simply saying it's cancelled for operational reason.
We booked in advance of 3 months to save the money and you come today and say it is cancelled and does not even have to courtesy to explain the reason. You do not even care to mention what happens to the return ticket if somebody booked it, would that be informed when you wish to do so. If I have to book it today I have to pay 15-20K extra for one way, I am not sure how much extra I need to pay if you decide to cancel the return flight.I planned it properly and I am in no way responsible for the cancellation so who should bear the extra costs here? If you dint had your flight I would have booked with someone else more reliable who does not have these operational reasons just like that.

You let people book the tickets and cancel if it does not work out for you simply and say call us for a refund, why do we need to ever call you, is not it that everybody want the refund? or you just refund to people who calls and make some money out of it too.
