I have deposited two American Express Gift Cheque 50US$ each on 19 May 2011 at Standard Chartered Bank, Cyber City branch.
These cheques were not credited to my account, so I registered a complaint to the bank in July for the same. The complaint no is ASRE41/NC/0711/47.
Now the Standard Chartered bank is saying that they lost these cheques, so I have to stop the payment of these cheques and ask to issue new Gift cheques from the American Bank.
So I checked with the customer care of American Express for the status of that Gift Cheques, but they say that as I deposited that Gift Cheques to the Bank (Standard Chartered), so for any queries or complaint they will entertain only to that Bank where it is deposited.
I inform this to Standard Chartered bank but there is no response from them.
