Standard Chaterted Bank had debited my card Rs. 4000/- + taxes in March 2013 . when alert came, i had contacted to know why the debit since i had not used the card . i was informed that it was some advantage scheme. i had lodged complaint immediately as i was debited same amount during last year which without my knowledge, i paid and not utilised. however, unfortunately SCB sent the vouchers to my address which i had returned spending Rs.60/- being courier charges.
Though entry was reversed, about Rs.6/- kept as balance. I had lodged complaints several several times but only late fee was waived.I was assured that entire amount would be waived. Last month again i got a bill of Rs.126/- I lodged complaint but now they said i should pay entire amount with late fee. Since i had not used the card since last 5 months, it is unfair on the part of SCB to charge unilaterally.
Though i had requested the bank to cancel my card in February 2013, the same had not acceded to instead reduced the credit limit to Rs.36000/-. Hence I once again request the bank to waive all debits charged to me and cancel the card. i was not using the card since December 2012. Was this information helpful? |
