[Resolved]  Standard Chartered Bank — Complaint against Standard Chartered Bank

I am a very unsatisfied customer of Standard Chartered who has had a very bad expierence with them. I was using a Credit card of Standard Chartered long ago i think its been more then 9 to 10 years now (not sure as i dont even remember it now) and the card # is [protected].

I had done a ful and final payment their cunningham road branch office and the payment was above 10 to 15 thousand that i had made and that was the outstanding amount. After this i had called their customer care team from the branch itself and requested for the closure of the card.

The customer care team confirmed the payment and updated me that they will send me the closure letter asap but its been more then 9 to 10 years now and i have not got any letter.

After doing the ful and final payment i had not received any call from them till about 2 or 3 years and later i kept getting troubled from the customer care team for the pending payments. Which i denied to pay as i had already done ful and final payment.

Please tell me when i have done the ful outstanding amount why should i get calls for the pending payment. I am really tired of all this and want some peace of mind. I updated them again and again on the same thing and requested for the closure letter and got nothing.

Lat week i happened to apply for a personal loan in one of the banks and they rejected it saying that my Cbill records is low due to the outstanding of 21000 in standard chartered. I checked all my records and then remebered standard charted and called them to check and they confirmed that my account has outstanding of 21680.

I am really tired of all this now and need some help in getting this sorted as i think Standard Chartered is cheating people and need some solution to this. Please note i am a single parent and take care of the house all alone. I make sure that i do not keep any credit in my name but this one has damaged my records. I am really keen in getting this sorted.
