[Resolved] Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card — Complaint against Standard Chartered bank's credit card | |||
I am using Standard Chartered bank's credit card. I kept paying their minimum amount however due to some financial issues and family issues I was unable to make payment for around 3 months. I got a call after 3 months of non-payment from Standard Chartered (Ms. Kiran) saying that I need to make the payment asap. I told them that i would make the payment soon and post 15 days around the same Ms. Kiran again called me saying " Apke ghar 4-5 ladke bheju kya". She also harassed my wife and made her literally crying in my absence. After some days Mr. Shadab (Assistant Manager in SCB) again called me and proactively asked for settlement. I wanted to ignore it as I know it causes bad cibil rating but they insisted me for settlement saying that If I say yes for settlement than it would not affect my cibil rating. Later on as per their suggestions and promises I got agreed for settlement. My actual amount was 1,60,000 Rs and It was settled on 1,25,000 Rs. Mr. Shadab (Assistant Manager in SCB) also told me that it is not actually a settlement as they are only excluding the interest part and I am paying the principal amount in installment. I got this settlement done on July 11, 2011 and I had to make full payment by the end of December 31, 2011. I had paid maximum amount (I only know how I managed that money) by December but unfortunately due to critical financial crisis I was unable to pay some amount on December. I again had words with Ms Pooja as I wanted some more time to pay the remaining amount. She assured me on phone (in presence of their collection person) that I can actually made payment by March 2012. I am going to make remaining amount of Rs 7000 by the end of this month but I got to know from Mr. Shadab (Assistant Manager in SCB) that due to late payment now I need to pay Rs 70 000/-. I told him that I had words with Ms. Kiran in presence of their own collection person (who used to come to my place for collecting money) but He denied all and started talking in a very rough manner that I need to pay Rs. 70000. Now I need justice on this. I know I am late by 3 months but I got this grace time from them. They told me about the same. If they would have informed me about the same in December than I would have managed the amount with the cutoff date and would have given the amount to them but they showed a fake sympathy that time and now in place of remaining 7000 they want me to pay 70000 Rs. Please help as I am literally getting sick due to this day by day. I paid each and every single penny to them but still these people are harassing me (specifically Mr Shadab and Ms Kiran).
