[Resolved]  State Bank of India — POOR SERVICE

Dear sir
Myself and my wife had submitted / applied for home loan from SBI Janakpuri during April 2010 for purchase of residential flat in Bangalore to be constructed by IRWO (Indian Railway Welfare Organisation) which is a non profit organisation set up in 1989 and since then had completed successful housing projects for railway employees. Its headquarters is at Shankar Market, New Delhi. IRWO had floated setting up of Rail Vihar Group Housing scheme in Guniagraha, Bangalore.
In its process, SBI had sought clarifications regarding title of land/ sale deed of land etc from IRWO. One such thing is the verification of land at site for which they had sent an official from RACPC Bangalore who had inspected the land and sent their report.
The second is the verification/ scrutiny of original papers pertaining to the land/ sale deed/ title by their advocate. Since IRWO is headquarterd at Delhi all the original documents are kept in the Delhi office with copies of the same with the Project Manager's Office at Bangalore. Curiously, SBI has sent an objection through its official in RACTC office in Parliament Street saying that since the original documents are not available at Bangalore they cannot process further; Upon our request to send their advocate in Delhi to verify the documents kept at IRWO office in New Delhi they refused and are in no mood to process the matter. Even IRWO management are surprised and have stood by us to give whatever help they could but it is on the part of SBI to understand the customer and his difficulties.
I therefore seek your kind intervention and intimate SBI to take up the issue in the right spirit so that home loan is sanctioned without further delay.

i have an a/c no is [protected] in mulund -east branch since january-2008. because of rotten service i am shifting my a/c to other bank. the reasons are as follows

* there is no facility to drop checques in atm. the drop box in in bank premises it self. all over mumbail banks have drop boxes in atm it self so that customer do not have to go to bank during working hours. every time i have a cheque i have waste 2 hours of my office time because bank opens at 9.am and my office opens at 8.30 am.
* for internet banking you have a customer service no in banglore. i have to make std call to ask any small thing. your customer helpline no is not able to resolve any single complain. their standard reply is please contact your branch. what is the use of service no. imagine sbi having 11000 branches being opered from single place. shear volume of date states that our complain will turn into waste paper basket
* i am totally confused about work demarkation between your branch and your internet banking department. result frequent running from pillar to post. sbi is leaving in socialist era where customer was the last priority.
* while using the my debit card for shopping i have to use two times hence there is double deduction from my a/c, this has happened twice. last time i got my money credited AFTER 4 MONTHS after i registed my complaint. i stopped using my debit card.
* for security reasons i change my login pasword frequently. by mistake i for got to record my paword. i complained by net, went to my bank branch so many times for last fifteen days, contacted mrs gandhi on phone. she promised me the new password has been sent by chennai office by 17.3.09. till today i have not received. the procedural buck passing goes on as if there are no reforms. it is more than 20 days. i fail to understand that a thing like password why sould it come all the way from chennai. consider size of sbi. do you expect it to serve from one place. PERHEPS MINDSET OF SBI MANAGEMENT HAS NOT CHANGED. THAT INCLUDES YOU ALSO. IF CHAIRMAIN SPENDS ONE DAY IN A MONTH TO EXAMINE SIMPLE STATISTICS OF COMPLAINTS NOS AND AND AVERAGE TIME IT TAKES FOR RESOLUTION, THIS SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS WILL NOT BE THERE .
* recent collapse o[censored]sa/europin banks have shown that banking is a service industry and being service industry it is very fragile. rest assured that whithin no time sbi may collapse. you do not sell product but customer service.
* i joined your bank simply for the reason that last year you got best bussinessman award. i thought that perhaps govt banks may have`imporoved. the improvement is only in one thing, luring the customer under false promises. perhaps sbi to large to change. with present level of customer service it will become another dinosoure.

since one month back the complaint was made with registered No. CC[protected]. so far i could not received any reply / intimation regarding this. it is very displusure to note.please take suitable action at least now and rectify the issue.
please clarify that, whether the balance amount is required for pension savings bank accounts.
I would like to share one funny incident happened in State Bank of India Malki brance Shillong on today (10/04/2004) with one of the lady staff. The story is like this, I had two HDFC Bank check and would like to dropped in the check box. In the same time one of the SBI lady staff opened the check box and took all the checks for entry in her computer. I had requested her to kindly accept my check, since she had opened the check box, in replay she had instructed me to drop in check box. What a funny staff, she can collect all checks from the check box but she cannot collect the check by hand. In front of her one notice plate mentioned "Mithra". I thought she does not know the meaning of "Mithra". "Mithra" means friend, I hope you know.

Dear Sir / Madam
I hold account in SBI Metcalfe House, Delhi. I stay in Noida and in saturday i had to deposit urgently some amount in SBI Delhi. I tried Sec 39 branch, there were telling because of connectivity problem they are not entertaining out of home branch account. Then I went to Sector 36 branch, there branch manager reasoned because of staff problem they can not entertain out of home branch account. Then i went to sector 35 branch there was also some connectivity issues. Then i went to sector 12 branch, there banch manager told because of staff problem they can not entertain out of home branch account. He even very rudely told to go to another branch. I went sector 11 branch there was so much rush that gate keeper didnt allow to enter inside.Then i went to sector 41 branch , there at 12 o'clock staff was telling time is over.

and i finally couldnt do my very urgent workk. such is the service of STATE BANK OF INDIA.
kindly take the appropriate action so that these situations will not force your bank account holders to migrate into some good banks.

This is in regards with the poor service from this Bank.There is no respect for the customers.Bank Staffs coming to office only by 10.15 and starting their work only by 10.40,because of that customers are not serviced properly and they are keep on waiting.Last week the whole week one ca'y able to take a Demand Draft because of non availability of Slips.Is this acceptable?.No one is resposible for their act.This is due to the poor attitude among the staff"s.
DEAR SIR,

i lost my ATM card before two months back,immediately i wanted to block the card for that i called for sbi toll free no but they didnt respond immediatley later after two weeks i got blocked num.After that i went to bank to apply new card bt the bank employees are not giving suitable information wt i haveto do that every time they are rejecting my application nearly 7 times i visited that every time they are showing new problem and rejecting that and not giving proper information
