[Resolved]  Tata DoCoMo 3G — Pathetic internet speed on 3G

I have been using DOCOMO services now for over an year. Everything was fine until their launch of 3G service. They launched free trial of 3G services for 7 days and things really did seem to be what they had promised with respect to Internet speeds. I was getting a fairly good speed of 1.3-1.7 mbps in the free trial period. Once the free trial period got over, all the hype surrounding 3G deflated. Their speeds dropped back to 2G (100 kbps to 120 kbps). I called customer care service several times a day for 10 days. Every time, they told me its problem with my handset or it is due to congestion. Note: Speeds remained the same throughout the day and night, no change. I even spoke to their supervisors telling them about my plight with Internet speed being very slow, as I work from home and Internet is my back bone without which I would be out of work. They promised it would be resolved within 24 hours (their standard dialogue), but nothing seemed to happen. I even disconnected my previous net connection during the trial period coz it was good enough then but now I regret doing so. I really do not understand what the problems is, coz nobody is telling the exact reason for Internet speed going down to such pathetic low levels. I am not asking for 21 mbps as their sms advertisement claims. All I need is a modest 1 mbps speed.

Any help with regards to this is greatly appreciated.

Tata Docomo — very very poor network and pathetic customer care service

Hi,

I purchaged tata docomo card before 3 weeks, since then i am not getting STD incoming calls.
I raised complains for twice. And they said this problem is resolved (even without checking the complain), but still i m facing the same problem. I have purchased this card for my official use, but if i m not getting incoming call, this card is of no use. Trying to contact customer since last 4-5 days, but even i was not able to contact them saying that i cant contact due to some technical reason or please hold on our customer care people are busy with other customers an so..I really stuck up with this card..No USE. If any tata docomo person is reading this meddage then please do ur best, or wind up this type of pathetic tele service.

Pls do not say that you were not able to reach me despite your best effort things. I don't even know for sure whether its a bot or a real person responding. I have seen the same message on many customer complaints. I am very much available on the same number 24/7. Lets try this, this is my mail address [protected]@yahoo.com. Now give it a try. My problems have still not resolved even after talking to many senior executives. I am calling at least twice everyday. Nobody is technically qualified to answer my queries. Customer care department executives have no idea what they are selling or what they are doing there in the first place. They have absolutely no idea of what plans they have, each and every other customer care executive gives a different story altogether with regards to plans or devices or the problem. One even told that the 3G services are newly launched so it will take some time to rectify the speed problem.

If that is the case, my question is why did u even launch the service in the first place, if it is not tested properly.
I totally agree.Tata Docomo sucks big time fu#*ks big time.I got a 7.2Mbps3G Dongle a week back.When i had a demo check the speed was showing 4 to 5 Mbps.The very next day the speed reduced to a pathetic 0.090 to .026 Mbps Speed..forget flying just plain browsing is not possible.Customer care ...well they are just there for theie monthly pay cheque. Cant really blame them ..they get paid to listen to all the cursing from customers like us.The I wonder whicn nut runs this team of monkeys...and i wonder how they will ever run this 3 g product this way.I have a 1month pre paid plan.. i paid Rs.1250/- .Is this enough money for all the advertisment on TV, Hoadings ETC that they are spending on???

tata docomo makes a joke of 3g speeds and the customer care executives are not even least qualified to answer our questions they are fools in my sense because they dont know anything except few dialoges. eg : welcome to tata docomo...blab . my no is [protected] and i have huge network problem in hubli aravind nagar near mosque. speed is 3 to 5 kbps complained to cc about 4 to 5 times no use. please help me out
Hey guys, whatever you guys are saying is correct. Tata docomo including their team sucks big time.
Even i had brought a 3g data card (3.6 mbps speed) a month ago, the speed was good for a few days but later it dropped to 100kbps and then to 30kbps. Adding to this, they said my addr. verification is negative as i'm unmarried and might leave the house anytime though the proper addr. proof was provided. This is the one of the [censored]n crazy reason one can give.

Same problem here. Docomo 3g sucks and I really want to kick their [censored]ing team !! Every time their 3g net connection is getting disconnected and those who are sitting in customer card office don't even a small technical problem about it. Anyway Im going to change my sim to airtel 3g when its going to launch.
i have using BSNL 3G data card it is working very good speed of 2-3 mbps all the time when i was in the 3g network. so go for bsnl 3g service, all the best
Hi, I bought Tata docomo 3G in Chandigarh 2 days back and my experience too is pathetic. Device does work but on its own will. Somtimes its completely dead and sometimes it gives speed o f1 Mbps but the point is that its not working as promised. I there any way to give this USB dongle back to TATA and get my money back ???

I also agree with all, it is the worst company. I want to return the 3G USB Dongle because of its performance and now they have stopped responding to my calls. I plan to drag them to Consumer Court.
Yes..Agreed friend. We should not use any tata pproduct. Totaly fake speed. Yes every time Customer says that our engineer will come and check...but when. My Question to Tata dococmo: Are you going to give consession with a low speed...? The answer is NOOOOOOOOO. Already tried. SO Guys please donot go with either Tata Photon+, Tata 3g stick or Tata dococmo.

Is BSNL is good @PUNE.?
Neither in 3G service, they are even fail to provide good GSM service. I hate their customer support. They don't even know how to behave, very rude, unethical. I am using this service for more then a year. The only reason I did not change the network as everyone of my contacts have this number of mine. However, as now other Network provider have started MNP, on a go forward i'm changing the service. My recent COMPLAIN REGARDING MAKING STD CALLS, EVERYTIME I TRY TO MAKE STD CALLS, I GET AN IVR SAYING THAT "PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER AND DIAL AGAIN" OR SOMETIME "PLEASE PUT 0 BEFORE THE NUMBER YOU HAVE DIALED" . FOR THIS ISSUE I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. BUT THE RESULT IS SAME, NO RESOLUTION, NEITHER A GOOD REASON. I WAS TOLD THAT THE ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED, BUT NOT. MOST OF THE TIME THE REPS DISCONNECTS THE CALL IN BETWEEN...
these guys are [censored] holes... even i bot in 3 days bak... 1st day i got dnldin speed of 1mbps, den 500kbps, now it cant even buffer youtube low quality videos... they are just makin fool to us... bastrds...

Tata Docomo — 3g NET BROWSING-HEAVY BILL

TATA docomo 3g sucks. they have billed 1ps/kb rate for browsing regardless of my 500 mb 3g plan. I had used only 60MB.They said i don't have 3g converage and i am using 2g to browse. And now when I switched to GPRS 6GB plan. My bill is 1860rs for 4 days. Saying I browsed 180 MB regardless of my 6GB free plan. They said I used 3G to browse.
Their technical dept confirmed that i don't have 3g range, then why the hell are they charging my with lame reasons???

The cust care sucks... they will confuse you and will never resolve your issue. I escalated the issue to Nodal officer, but they said the cust care is perfectly right and i have to pay the hafty bill of 1860rs.

3g life sucks.

So my friends please dont go for TATA DOCOMO 3G postpaid on your phone,

Hi Guys, I do agree with the issue stated. I have used both MTS MBlaze and Tata Docomo, its really horrible.

Currently I am using Tata Photon and My brother is using Reliance Net connect, we stay in Bangalore, BTM, LAYOUT. Its really great service. Trust my words and buy. Its worth investment.
Minimum speed I get in Photon is close to 1.8 and max of 2.6 MBPS. In Reliance min speed is 1.3 and max we had got 2.9. Both are really good and even their customer service is good. When compared to Photon, Reliance is overall doing very good.
