[Resolved]  Tata Docomo — Unwanted automatic subscription and balance deduction

I am a TATA DOCOMO customer from Ranchi, Jharkhand. My mobile number is: [protected] and email id is "[protected]@rediffmail.com"

I received an SMS saying "Hi! You have subscribed to mtv facts Pack at Rs.28.13 till 18/11/2012. To Stop, Dial 155223 or sms STOP FAC to 56060(Free).Current balance: INR 1.00 at[protected]:05 AM"

I immediately sent "STOP [censored]quot; to 56060 to stop the subscription and received the SMS saying "Hi! You have cancelled your subscription to mtv facts Pack. Thank you for using our service."

I was left with a balance of just Rs.1/- on my mobile in the process due to such fraudulent automatic subscription to unwanted junk service. If TATA DOCOMO resorts to such cheating malpractices to add to its profits, it really cannot expect to retain customers for long. I suspect that the system is programmed to leave just Rs.1/- balance in the customer's account since it seems very unreasonable to fix the price of such subscriptions at Rs.28.13, which the company deducted. I want TATA DOCOMO to refund the amount fraudulently deducted and desist from such malpractices in future.

I tried to complain to "Customer Care" but they could not be reached even after repeated attempts. It actually seems that the company does not "care" about its "customers" at all. One of the reasons I had purchased TATA DOCOMO sim was that they advertised that there would be no automatic unwanted subscriptions ever. The company has failed to deliver its promise.

Here is a screenshot to show what happened. I have uploaded the same image to multiple sites hoping that at least one of them will work.

Tata Docomo — Unsolicited subscriptions

My number Tata Docomo [protected].. I have been forcefully subscribed into various services and packs which I never asked. This is fraud. When reported, they only say they are looking into it. Customer care just gives computerised answers. Never expected such cheating and fraud from a reputed company with the name of Tata. It is a shame that Ratan Tata is defrauding and cheating Indian people with such illegal activities. It is a real shame.

I've a TATA Docomo mobile connection user with the number [protected] from January, 2011.

It's quite ridiculous and shocking that they are charging even for attending the calls.

Is there any remedy for this problem? Is there anybody from the TATA Docomo Team to respond me???

TATA DOCOMO BAD SERVICE — Balance Deducted Twice 399 Rs.

On 29th May 2011 Tta Docomo Deducted 399 Rs. twice for Black Berry Service.
They are also not giving any clarification..

I Had asked them than they said you had activated the service twice times.They are telling a Lie...

Tata Docomo — Tata Docomo Automatic Balance Deduction!

Taking Tata Docomo is a big mistake. I am a prepaid user. Every month, I get a call from a Docomo automated number which I do not pickup. Once the call is cut, I receive an SMS saying that my caller tunes have been activated and a song has been downloaded. Rs.45 automatically gets deducted from my balance. I have screenshots as proof for the same.

This has been happening every month for the past 3-4 months. Everytime I have to write an email and ask for refund. This month (September), it happened twice. I was charged Rs.45 two times in a span of 10 days. For both I lodged a compaint separately. The first complain was ignored completely. The 2nd has just been resolved after a week. In total I have received a refund of Rs.45 out of Rs.90.

Apart from this issue, there is another balance deduction. I use blackberry service Rs.399 which entitle me for free surfing, as mentioned on the Docomo website. Almost every day, atleast 4-5 times, I get a popup that says "You have been charged <amount> for your last internet transaction." This amount goes from Rs.0.10 upto Rs.0.60 and sometimes Rs.1.20 per message, whether I surf the internet (which is anyways free in my plan) or even if I dont surf it! Complains have been lodged regularly for the same since more than 6 months and there has been no resolution yet.

I have been speaking with Tata Docomo executives via phone, email or their web chat regularly every month for some or the other issue.

I advice people to be careful while taking a Tata Docomo connection. Apart from the network issues and call cuts (regular with all networks) there are many other hidden charges with Tata Docomo, which if not checked can take away all your balance. The service is not at all "Simple" as they portray, its only "Silly".

Hope these are sorted soon. Until then, please do not go for such a connection.

I would still say that the company should desist from such malpractices.
Same happened to me. My mobile number is [protected]. Tata docomo deducted 30 rs from my main balance as mtv facts. I always get glash messages from tata docomo. Kindly stop these flash messages and refund me my balance

hi this is rajkumar from andhra pradesh and for past several days i have been charged rs2/- as charges to my subscription to babes, when i never subscribed, and i can any one tell me how to stop this service and i urge the tata docomo people not to play such a cheap games with people, mind that u are having the tata brand which stands for their word and worth. so please look for other areas for the revenue, not this way and tell me how to stop this service, my no [protected]
Same case with me. The moment I recharge, they deduct and bring my balance to Re 1. Services such as music unlimited, mini movies, bollywoodMirch_She. Don't even know what the hell these are. They are not responding as well. Customer care calls, they are not resolving, emails they are not replying.
