[Resolved]  TATA Indicom / Tata Photon Plus — faulty device

tata photon delivered me faulty device on 11th sep 2010 and is refusing to replace it and is coercing me to get it repaired. since 11th sep i have complined to vriti telecom throuh which device was delivere, told me speed will be alright after my documents was delivered. i recieved my account no. after 9 days through wchich i registered compliant at customer care of company. the visting engineer certified it faulty device. help me on getting device replaced since it eas delivered faulty.

TATA Indicom — Tata Photon plus

I have taken the Tata photon plus connection from last month, that is from Dec 17, 2009 and it took two days for the device to get activated. I took the Rs 750 for 2GB plan and above that there will be charge at the rate of Rs. 0.5 per MB. During that time, I have noticed that, the upload speed usually used to be at Zero when I'm not sending any email or uploading any file on the web. It used to be speedup only when I upload files or sent emails. And the download speed is also supposed to be zero when the page is fully loaded up or when I'm not opening any page or no downloads.

This works accordingly till I get the first bill. Just after the bill cycle for the next month was started, even if I'm not doing any downloads or opening any page and turning off all the updates also, I noticed that the download speed according to the software interface was varying around 100 kbps and with an upload speed of 50 kbps. This seems absurd to me as if the system was in idle, there was not e-mailings, no uploads, no downloads nor any kind of web surfing. Yet, both the download speed and the upload speed were going steadily and the total downloads and uploads were increasing continuously.

I don't know what policy they are following but, this is just not the way it should be. And moreover why have they claimed a speed of 3.1 Mbps which they couldn't provide. They have made a false claim and I think, this is no less then fooling the consumers and stripping them of their rights. The concerned authority should take up the matter seriously.

TATA Indicom — Device Problem

I have Tata Indicom Walky Telephone Device at my Home. Recently I got problem with my Hand Set. i have Complaint around 10 -12 times in customer care. and i am continuously following up with them since last 2 months. I noticed that my complaints are automatically close with some fake reasons. how it is possible ??
what exactly customer care people and technical person is doing ?
I am really frustrated and planning to surrender my phone line.
had bought the device on 19th Sept.encountered many errors while the connection was still on.Went to Tata Indicom Ofc, Kormangala, Bangalore to report about this issue.Hoping to get some technical asistance at the earliest, i raised a complain as instructed.The issue was to be resolved within 48hours, but none showed up.I. kept on trying for help, but each time i called the customer-care, i had to relate my story of distress evrytime coz each time a new person recvd the call aftr disconnection(guess, they disconnected the call intensionally to get some time to think over better excuses).One bright day, tata photon engineer called up asking me when i was free.day after day he made promises that he would be coming at my place at 7:00pm.i left from ofc early waiting for the 'prince'(A** H***).But he did not bother to call or intimate his status.waited entire evening, cancelled appointments for the PRINCE..lekin woh nhi aye..cFinally he called up after a long break, asking me-'Mam, at what time are you free, i would like to check ur problem'
I replied-tomorrow today 8:00apm or tomorrow morning 9:00am.
To my utter surprise he replied exaggarating his inconvienience to arrive at those timings.Great!now i have to suit his timings in order to get my device for which I paid 2500/-.Sounds Really Interesting..
would love to give him-Best Employee Award..clap clap clap..arrrrrrrgh.wait, The story has just bhgun.Miles to go b4 i sleep..
and commendable milestones 'our''dear' enginner has achieved..clap clap clap.
One fine day, he appears at my place.Unable to detect where the problem is, he guessed the best rescue option-'Mam, ur system is faulty'...Sounds even more interesting.Proudly he says, i can prove it
Try on my system(where in he has another broad band connection to fool me in case there are some ntwrk issues).And guess what, the same error could be replicated in his device.Now, audience can you guess what his conclusion was-'I guess my system is also faulty;..

after much of arguments and bargaining, he settled at faulty device status and 'promised' to hand me the device within 2 working days. I had warned him quiet hard but it fell on deaf ears.
Guys, its been more than 15days since then my status is still 'faulty'.But even 15days of hard-work and slog by the engineer could not meet my high demanding ends;to replace a device.
Also mentioning, even from his busy schedule he takes out time to attend my calls everyday to keep me posted-'Stocks are yet not available'.He's a great man.., God bless him!..So what if he doesnt calls me, but I am confident I am always in his mind...
Kudos engineer!!

Gud luk to al those Tata Photon+ pre-paid connection buyers who are yet to discover faulty devices.

lets take a strong action against tata photon and its dealers. I think its time to teach them a lesson along with their suppliers.
