[Resolved]  Tneb — Frequent Low Voltage and Power Cuts

Hi,
this is kavitha residing in chromepet nehru nagar, near hasthinapuram.we have the low voltage problem daily in our area especially it is high during night hours. we have kids, they are not able to sleep properly because of this. power is also getting cut for 2 hours then i dont know why this low voltage problem is occuring in all areas. somtimes the low voltage is occuring till 2.30 a.m, people are suffering a lot, please take the necessary action for this.

Power cut out — not working well

power auto cut out system of the microwave is not functioning well due to which inconvenience is generating in handling of the mentioned item.

We are residing in kurinji street, MGR Nagar (near KK nagar), chennai – 78, we are facing the frequent power cut and low voltage problem and there is no responsible answer for our phone calls, they are telling always a problem that cable fault, the low voltage problem affects our house hold equipments like Motor, A/c TV etc, we are looking for a permanent solution for this problem.

I reside in Annai Avenue, VPG Avenue Extn, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Thoraipakkam. We are having frequent random power cuts as well as low voltage problems. As a result of this low voltage, not even tube light is working, We are daily suffering at night times. Inspite of repeated complaints to the Electricity board, they are not rectifying the problem. this problem mainly ocuurs in our street. Kindly help us out of this issue.

I am residing in MGR nagar 5th main road (Extn) velacherry, Chennai - 42, we are facing low voltage problem every day, now a days its not possible to work with computer in home even if you have UPS also, its very tough for students who learn for semester timings due to lack of low voltage and frequent powercut. I am Jegan residing in 4th Cross street, Nethaji colony, Velachery. We are suffering from the low voltage problem for the past 2 weeks. The probem is there both in the morning and night times. Our house is having 3 phase connection. But unfornutatelt this low voltage problem is exist in all the 3 Phases.
Becaues of this we are finding very difficulty in using the electrical appliances like FAN, A/C in home.

I am chengodan residing at Mugalivalkkam RGL Dream Bunglow, we are facing very low voltage of around 130v, We are not able to run the Motors, FAN is running very slowly, AC is not working since 15th May 2012. Fridge is not working. All because of the low voltage problem. I am residing in this house for the past 3 years, every year i am facing this problem starting from May till July. I stay in Vijay Nagar 2nd cross street.We are also facing the same problem of low voltage and frequent unsheduled power cuts.And whenever we call to ask the reason of power cut they say transformer problem or some other problem.
Want to know why are you not utilising the sheduled maintenance monthly 9-5 power cut time to overcome these issues.

I am in Alandur, Kadumbadi Amman Koil street, facing regular power cuts every half an hour and in night time with low voltage supply as well power cut.

Employee in the EB office not taking calls or keep the receiver out. the number 155333 also received with reply now busy please contact after some time.

I explained the people in EB office in person to take action but still there is no fruitful result.

I am Uma residing at Madipakkam, Ram nagar South, 6th street, Chennai -91. In our street there is always a low voltage problem even during day time.I am unable to operate my washing machines, even my fridge is not getting cooled.Because of this i am unable to store milk, idli batters, curd which is very basic for working womens like me to move the daily life easier and faster. Already AC board is gone . I am spending very large amount everytime to fix the electrical appliances failures because of this low voltage issues.

Everyone in our street is suffering a lot because of this low voltage problem.

this place is well known for low voltage throughout the year. Specially in summer its getting
Worst. even fan is not working with the amount of voltage comIng in.
We r all receiving only 120 - 140v. So many small babies r there
They Are having sleepless nights just like adults.
Ita really tough to solve this issue.

We are residing in Shankar nagar, pammal. We are facing acute low voltage problem in our area. Even the fans don't run properly.
This is often combined by no power supply in one or more phases. Office goers, elderly people are suffering a lot. Please do the needful.

I am residing at 7th cross street, Kurinji Nagar, Perungudi, Chennai-96. In my area, we are facing extreme low voltage. Because of low voltage, our fans and Acs are not working. Electrcity board can put a transformer to solve the issue.

We are facing extreme low voltage. Due to low voltage all the electrical and electronic things get spoiled now.

1. Fans are running very slowly
2. Most of the time tube lights are not glow properly
3. Motor is not continuously running
4. Washing machine is not running. If it is low voltage automatically get stopped.
5. Tv stabilizer is spoiled. So changed a new stabilizer. Still tv also not run properly.
6. Fridge only sometime run. Most of the case it should be standby.
7. Due to above problem. We should not switch on AC.

Recently they provided transformer. But there is no use.

Still we are facing the same low voltage issue.

We are living in medavakkam vgp babunagar. During in night there is low voltage fan and A/C are completely not working resulting in sleepless nights.The local tneb office is also expressed there inability for the fluctuations and low voltage.

My Name is Sivaraj. I am residing in Velachery Gandhi Salai. We are facing daily power failure. On 27.07.14 the power cut was happened at night 10.30pm and the power came the next day morning at 6.30am. We called the Velachery EB office number 22450001 many times but no response at all, This happens often and it is very difficult for us to sleep and sending the children to school on time and etc. Even there was power failure on 29.07.14 at 3.00 pm and the power came at 7.30 pm. We request you to please look in to this and rectify the issue.

My name is kumar. I am residing in Manikandan nagar, kundrathur, chennai - 600069. We are experiencing frequent low voltage issue and the voltage going down till 110 V, due to this low issue we couldn't use none of the electronic equipments. Please look into this issue.
