[Resolved]  Traffic Police Delhi — Complaint against traffic police for wrongly challan

On 13 April 2010, at 10:40 AM, I was on my way to my office. Near Ashok Vihar phase 3 red light, two policeman on bike , one is Mr. Babrik Kumar stopped me saying I violated the traffic rule by crossing the red light, but actually i had not crossed the red light. When I was crossing there was some other vehicles which were running parallely with me and that time the light was Green. On my requesting they said u violated the rule u have to bear the challan. and they took my RC and told me that you have to visit Tees Hazari court on 4th may 2010 at 10 AM. I dont know how can I proof myself, so I request the concerned person to look into this matter and take some neccesary action.

it is the most common compliant which the citizens complaint for. as per law it is the duty for the prosecution (here the traffic police) to establish that traffic rules is voilated by the citizens but there is nothing to prove the fault of the voilators by the traffic police and the policeman usually demanded money just to set the citizens up for that.
