[Resolved]  Train Tickets — Cancellation of Electronic Reservation

I had booked four tickets electronically, WL123, 124, 125 and 126 as per details below.

On 1st Jan when I went to check on confirmation, my tickets were WL 1,2,3,4, but on 2nd Jan when we went to board the train the chart showed my tickets cancelled and money refunded to my account. The TTE refused to acknowledge my pleas for confirming my tickets and asked me to take the next train . After a lot of cajoling he issued me a penalty ticket with the entire ticket fare and a penalty of Rs. 1000/- for all the four tickets. Ticket No. A 166360 - Excess fare ticket. HE promised me two seats in the train as my husband is physically handicapped and my daughter is yound - 9 yrs. We climebed Bogey No D6 at MAdgaon by the TC Mr. Jagdish who issued us the penalty ticket at MAdgaon station at the Station Master's office DID NOT CLIMB THE TRAIN. Hence we endured a lot of physical and mental stress.
A lot of other passengers too were tricked by the TC and they too were standees till Mumbai. The train resembled a local Mumbai train after we crossed Ratnagiri station. Below is my refund status :

My complaint is : WHY ISSUE WAITLISTED ELECTRONIC RESERVATIONS IF RAILWAYS DO NOT CONFIRM THE SAME. WHY ISSUE PENALTY TICKETS ON A SHATABDI IF SEATS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. WHY ISSUE PENALTY TICKETS WHEN TICKETS BEFORE AND AFTER OUR WAITLIST GOT CONFIRMED. WL 445 were confirmed and my tickets were cancelled only because they were electronic reservations.

I WANT THE RAILWAYS TO REFUND MY CANCELLATION CHARGES AND THE PENALTY AMOUNT OF Rs. 1000/- Awaiting a prompt response.

electronic reservation ticket — reimbursement of ticket

Dear sir,
I have booked a ticket (PNR no[protected],Transaction ID [protected]) from Aluva to Kasaragod through electronic reservation date of journey 19 July 2011kindly note that the train was redirected via Palakkad.I myself checked for cancellation but it couldn't. I enquired in ERN reservation counter on[protected] about 11.30 hours, they intimated it will be automatically cancelled and the amount will come to your account. I have checked my account till date I have not received the amount. I request you to kindly do the needful at your earliest.
