[Resolved]  Philips India — non attendance of complaint since[protected]

I have a Philips micro theatre system bearing model no MCD 190. The problem is that the central mechanism that holds the compact disc in place has broken. Accordingly on[protected] i lodged a complaint with Philips consumer care (Toll free no: [protected]) and was given complaint no 471525 with an assurance that the said complaint would be attended in the next 48 hours. There was a call from the Ahmedabad service centre on[protected] , informing that the said service personnel will be visiting anytime between 1 pm to 7 pm. However no service personnel turned up on that day. Complaint was once again lodged on[protected] with the toll free no and it was once again assured that urgency request has been placed and that the complaint would be attended on the same day. Once again the service personel failed to turn up. The same exercise was repeated when the consumer care was contacted once again on[protected]. When the consumer care was contacted again in the evening hours of[protected], it was informed by a senior personnel that the desired serviceman will attend the complaint by 2030 hours . However as anticipated nobody turned up. This is amounting to cheating and deliberate misleading of the consumer with no reason assigned for the delay. To be taken up strongly with the company.

Philips — unattendance of complaint

We have purchased the aforesaid model on 4th October 2009. Not more than 15 days had passed when we had lodged a complaint about the system malfunction. The sequence of events are as under.
1. A person from the philips service dept. arrived without giving a prior intimation on phone as already instructed and agreed by the dealer (Sales India).
2. Although the person was received at the house, who found the said system not working at all.
3. He asked us to hand over the system so that we are left with no audio visual entertainment for which it was purchased and hence the purpose is defeated if the company asks us to hand it over without a replacement for that time interval during which the company is supposed to find the fault and make ammendments. The person disagreed saying that he cant take such decisions and a senior person would talk to us, which never happened till a couple of days.
4.After that, we had to again call up the service centre where we were promised that a senior engineer would repair the system at our place, only after a telephonic intimation.
5. The same person, who had already visited earlier, turned up and to our surprise he told us that he was not made aware of what we were promised on the telephone (this shows lack of co-ordination at the company's end) and the person again asked us to be deprived of this facility for which we have paid the company!!
6.He called up the service station from our premise in order to talk to the manager who was'nt present (for the second time) and madam to whom we talked once again gave us a false promise that the manager would call you as soon as he is available(till today he is not available).
7. Hurt again sentimentally, we called up the dealer straightaway, where he consoled us saying that this time he'll personally take over the matter and get back to us with a concrete solution indicating the time they would require to comply our long due complaint.
8. Till date the matter is hanging leaving us in confused state of mental harrasment .
9. As a result we have to resort to consumers forum for recoveries of all kinds.

Our complaint number as lodged by the company is 24294.

I purchased a 50 inch Philips plasma screen TV for $999.00 from Walmart on -1-13-09 and it ceased working on 12-29-09 ! I contacted the[protected] number and was told they would replace it since it was covered by a one year warrenty. They said they wouold call me in 24 to 48 hours. It is now[protected] and no one has called me. I have called them three times since and the consumer representative say's they put them on hold !

I filed a complaint with the WV Attorny Generals Office and with Walmart for Philips failing to back there warrenty or do what they promise. Walmart manager said he would follow up on a copmplaint to have there products cease being sold at their stores.

I will never ever at no time buy Philips product AGAIN !
Man I do feel better !
Philips always provide a bad service and nobody is willing to take the responsiablity...
If I have chance, I will not chioce Phililps any more. Poor products and poor service ...

Philips India — TV Picture is not clear

I have purchased the 32" led TV from the Day one the Picture clarity is not clear. Phoned to Call center many times they have checked but the picture clarity is not improved.
