[Resolved]  Vodafone — Erroneous Billing and Poor Customer Handling

Hi,

I am Anand from Chennai. My mobile number is [protected] and the complaint number I am talking about below is [protected].

I had registered a complaint regarding charge dispute as mentioned in the subject and it was pending till today afternoon, well past the specified ETA and all of a sudden, it shows up as resolved without me getting any sort of intimation regarding the resolution so far. Further to add to my woes, i am not able to connect through to 198 or 111 which tells me my request cannot be processed.

This is a very serious glitch in the customer service which has been excellent so far and in a couple of days lost all it's credibility. I would like to highlight here that I shifted to Vodafone ending a 6 year relationship with my previous carrier for a similar incident where the service suddenly fell flat.

I have been told constantly whenever i inquired in the month of September by the customer care executives that I am in Nokia Lumia Promotional Data Offer for the period of Aug 20 to Sep 19th (I particularly remember a call made on 9/10 of sept when they confirmed the same to me) even, the last time of my inquiry being 20th September who confirmed the same to me. But, all of a sudden, I find being completely billed for the data usage without any plan being applied. The plan, I was told, was activated for me on 24th May and will end after 4 billing cycle, the cycles being
24th May to 19th June,
20th June to 19th July,
20th July to 19 Aug,
20th Aug to 19 Sept
which means that any data usage for the period should be based on the plan and not on direct one to one billing (10 P per 10 KB). That was not the case for the last mentioned period and I ended up getting a bill of 821 and odd for data usage which should have been free as it was within the limits (I have used 0.08 GB in the period when I was told 2 GB was the limit per month). If the billing was not enough to distress me, the number of calls I had to make to sort things out and the number of calls I tried without being able to get through from Yesterday is even more cumbersome and painful (Have I been blocked from making Customer service calls?).

I want this issue resolved amicably and I need you guys to call me ASAP to let me know on the status and the resolution of the issue. I am giving pretty serious thoughts of getting out of Vodafone if this is the way the customer is getting treated by you guys.
