I booked a return flight from Bengaluru to New Delhi for 21st October 2011 and return 1st November 2011 on yatra.com. Indigo is the filght carrier. The price shown on the site was INR 7596(Combined). I made the online booking and made the payment. The ticket confirmation page showed that the ticket is unconfirmed and occasionally you will have to pay more if the prices of the ticket have increased. I checked the prices on the website, it showed the same price. I called the yatra.com customer care, they told me the same thing. But I told them that the price is still the same, then they said then you may not be charged and a person will call me in 30 mins. I received a call after some time, their representative told me that the Airlines have increased the prices and my round trip now costs INR 12000. He told me either I should pay the difference or they will refund the money which I will get back in 3 working days. He offered me a discount of 1000, but even at that time I was having options to book air tickets with some airlines much lower than 11000. I asked him for a refund as it was already a Friday and more delay would have blocked my money for more number of days. I just want to say this that when you buy a product or service the other party offers a price and if we agree and pay the price then no matter what the price should not be changed. Take an example of a jewellery shop, we go there and buy a gold product, imagine after half an hour the person calls you and says that the price of gold has increased and you have to pay more.
Please look into this matter as this is simply harassment of the consumer.

As fares are extremely dynamic, it is possible that when you were processing your booking the seats were not confirmed in that particular class. As a result the booking was not confirmed at back end but the payment was successful. Please be informed that we have taken a loss of INR 1609.41 and confirmed the tickets for your travel.
