On 20-December-2021, Mr. Neeraj Kumar (Sales and marketing manager) from country club visited my place to have a discussion on the membership of country club. After some discussion, he managed to lur me into availing the services ( though I was not very keen on getting the service). The executive put me under a pressure situation hg repeatedly saying that the offer of 72% discount will soon be over and that this is the right time yo buy the offer at Rs. 35, 000/- . He somehow managed to have the payment proceed via my credit card and had me sign the application form. He did not let me read the form even after requesting multiple times to have a look at it. He kept saying that he would take care of everything and that there is nothing fishy in the form. After making the payment he mentioned about some extra charges which I was not happy to listen to. Once he left the place, after giving it some more thought, I decided to have my membership cancelled within 2 hours of availing it and texted Mr. neeraj Kumar singh. He later called me on my number and said that no refund can be provided for membership cancellation and said the amount I paid was a relatively small amount and so refund is highly impossible to make. Considering the fact that the request to revoke the membership was done within 2-4 hours of availing the membership and it will take a week's time to activate the membership and that the EMI option on my credit card will take about 2-4 days to process, a refund initiation should not be difficult for country Club. I have written an email to them as well mentioning the same. But country club is adamant about no initiating refund. This is totally unacceptable. Country club is forcing membership by not initiating refund though the request to cancel the membership was raised 2 hours after availing the membership.
My bank officials also condemned the attitude of country club and recommend me to file an FIR with police.
