[Resolved]  Dish TV — requested packs are not being activated and charging more for the packs i do not need

The services of dishtv are the worst of worst so far i have seen. My ordeal with their service department cannot be explained. Confusing answers and fake promises.

— i had placed a request for transfer of the dish tv connection from earlier place to new place. It was informed me that i had to pay the amount and activate the connection so that service will be given. I had paid the amount and got it activated. But even after 3 days no one visited from dishtv for transfer. I had to call the outsider and get it installed at my new place.

— during the payment i had selected my required channels and it was told me the same will be activated once the dishtv installed and transmission started. When the dishtv installed and the tv started coming in. The pack selected by me was not there instead other packs were given.

— when contacted the customer care, it was informed me that the dishtv to be aligned then only i can get my selected packs. It has been more than 20 days and till date no one has come for the alignment.

— here i have a doubt, in the present position, i am getting almost all the channels required except one channel, what else the alignment is required just to activate the channel?

— now the pack i have selected is a cheaper one, but dishtv has activated costlier package and now asking me to recharge the account otherwise dishtv may get deactivated. Why should i have to pay more when my requirement cost is less?

— if really the alignment has to be done, then it is dishtv service deficiency and for which they are penalizing me. Why should i pay for the same?

Even just now when i am trying to change the plan it is not getting changed. I am not interested to pay more for your in efficiencies.

Re alignment done for the antenna and channels started coming. But another series of problems started. However, the subjected problem has been solved.

Dear Team, it is surprise to note that you do not have my registered mobile number with you. When there is a due for recharge, the DishTv team keeps on calling me for recharge and now to respond for a problem, you do not have my phone number. What a wonder. my phone number is [protected].

In continuation the earlier ordeal which was prolonged for almost 20 days just for a alignment, now I am facing with a peculiar problem with DISHTV. As complained below after my hue and cry at various stages your service engineer has visited and did the alignment of the Dish to suit my package.

Exactly here the new problem started. Since the alignment, the signals comes only in the evening after 6 to 7 PM only, day time no signals. I had complained through website and even my family called your call center. The response is once again poor. The persons attending the calls does not even listen to us properly to understand the problem but gives the instructions to do this and that. In normal cases I agree but this is a peculiar case i.e signals received only a part of the day.

Now, your call center is saying that they will send the technician (not sure when) but we have to pay the service charge. Why should I pay the same when the problem is not with my installation or not a shifting or a repair problem. This is the system fault of DISHTV services.

Request you to kindly look into this and rectify immediately.

I had booked for new connection on 17th April at 8.21pm. I had done online payment and received only transaction details from their end, Transaction id- #656643. It is almost 48 hours, installation has not been done. I had sent so many e-mails and spoken to Customer care executive several times but unfortunately, they couldn't solve my problem.
