[Resolved]  DishTV — cable tv

Dear All,

I have been customer for more than a decade and was moved from SD to HD. However this weekend the set top box has stopped working.
We have tried attaching the Pend drive and also checked and the TV is working.
The company has been sent SMS and has not responded.
Lately I had highlighted the issue about the connector and they did not help me.
Even now the instrument was given under a exchange from SD to HD.
This shows they lure with offer and give substandard equipment

This is going a real melodrama of cheating customers. the Technician has come again with a faulty box and when asked is this a new set top box, he says it is a refurbished one. The warranty initially mentioned for 6 mths and then changed to 3 mths. He goes ahead and when checks that he has to go back and bring in an hour. waited till evening and called him. he bluntly says that he will come tomorrow.
This clearly shows that the boxes when faulty is tried at every customers house and giving warranty for service for one month means after 3 mths they get another income of service charge of Rs 200 plus.

The Talk to ceo representative has not even called to know the status of the customers plight.

They have resolved my issue but has not been able to answer my valid grievance or reason and taken as a feedback. This is all consumer of Dishtv, that they have replaced my set top box with a refurbished one.
they couldn't answer that a new customer is given a lifetime warranty, but a customer who is more than a decade is given a warranty of 3 mths of a refurbished box (old). They have not even provided a valid bill for the payment made for the services / replacement box.
This shows that if the box becomes faulty they have a way to charge for the service and the replacement again.
The slogan for them would be Value New customer and degrade old customer.
