DTDC — courier not delivered on time

The Consignment number B[protected]Bangalore-Durgapur) was booked on 13th Jan '15 and reached Durgapur on 17th Jan '15 at 11:18am, but it does not go out for delivery. On 19th when i call their office, they tell me that there are too many deliveries and the delivery guy might go in the evening. It does not get delivered on that day. When my dad went to the office the same evening to inquire, the person in the courier office says that the delivery guy has already taken it, but is sick and cannot deliver it today. The next day i.e. on 20th when i call up the courier office, he says the same thing again and gives me another number asking me to call there to get the status. When i call up that number, the person on the other side says that the delivery guy has already left with the package and will deliver by evening and that he doesnt even have the number of the delivery guy!!!. When requested to deliver it soon, he says that we can pick it up from his office location. This attitude of DTDC people have really disappointed me and I'm not going to send any further packages through DTDC. If the people and the service is so unreliable, i dont think it is a good idea to take a risk with your packages. They do not deliver your package on time and above that they lie to you every time saying that your package is out for delivery every time you call them. And they do not give you accurate information.

Totally unreliable. If the recipient has to go and pickup the delivery, why should i even send it through a courier service . I can very well send it through speed post and save money!!!

Sir, I have booked a courier from hyderabad to jodhpur on 17th Jan 2015.. Till today it is not delivered.. very useless service...My courier detail is H38928690..
