Sir, i am a jco retired. no jc210173p sub (tech) gun elangovan retired on 01/10/2002. ppo no; s/016182/2002. i am awaiting for my corrigendum ppo.
I had already approached you for this through hard copy but no response. sir i had served 30 years but i am getting only for 28 years service pension till date. because i was an apprentice enrolled 2 years boy service was not counted as qualifying service at the time of my release in 2002. after that in 2003 mod issued a letter in which all boys services are included for qualifying service for pension letter attached to your ready reference. i had written many letter to pcda in this regard but no action has been taken till date. sir, please do the needful and issue a fresh ppo include my full service as qualifying service.

Newdelhi, the31stofoctober, 2003 subject:counting of boy service rendered before attaining the age of 17 years as qualifying service for the purpose of pension/gratuity sir, i am directed to refer to the o/o cgda u. o. no. 5601/at-p/lxv dated 17.06.2003 and 14.08.2003, and to say that the govt. letter no. b/39022/ag/ps-4 (a&c)/589/c/d (pen/sers) dated 27.03.2002 in respect of army and air force personnel and no. pn/1405/307/cc/c/d (pen/sers) dated 13.04.2000 in respect of naval personnel regarding counting of boy service rendered before attaining the age of 17 years as qualifying service for the purpose of pension/gratuity have been issued. 2. govt. letters dated 13.04.2000 and 27.03.2002 which have been issued after due consideration and legal advice, do not require any modification/change. you are advised to implement the same and give benefit of counting of 'boy service' rendered before attaining the age of 17 years as qualifying service for the purpose of pension/gratuity to all the effected personnel irrespective of their length of service subject to maximum qualifying service.
