Eureka Forbes — RO Maxima RO+UV+MTDS water filter unit

WE bought last year in March 2019, a RO Maxima a similar model of 7 ltr tank, called RO+UV+MTDS. MTDS is nothing but a bypass valve that can be set manually by opening the cover . It adds non RO membrane passed water back to output . It is clumsy. After TDS is set to any level say at 125, after few days it goes down again to 50-75 range . You keep doing this . It is sickening.There is no control system actually.

We all know 90% salts are removed by a RO membrane.Hence even if you have 500 TDS in fresh water, output will be around 50 TDS plus or minus . This is bad for health.hence this bypass valve adds orginal filtered and UV exposed water to RO emberane water to increase the salts.

MTDS is simply useless crap word, to make money as it has no controller actually. The valve is hidden inside body and common man cant set it easily. You got to take machine down .open lid, set valve by trials . It again returns to low tds after few days. I first tried this through service centre and then myself many times in 1.5 years. But no use.The service engineer now says valve has to be replaced it may be loose or defective. New device 1.5 years old has only this much life? But they never did this till it was in warranty period . You can understand the trick. How a valve not used daily and under cover can get leaked or loose in 1.5 years? What is life of machine then It is useless quality.

Further even if you take 100 ml water machine starts .Not good. It should restart only at certain level say 3 ltrs and then run till tank is full.

Secondly, water is now tasting bitter(Kasela) many times on its own. You cant drink this and it hurts the taste and mouth.It may be very harmful too .What body does not like, is generally harmful. The water should be slightly sweet or taste and odor less. Not like this . This is serious matter.

The service cost for annual contract is very high 5000 Rs for a 14000 Rs unit . It wastes 3.5 to 4 glass of water for 1 glass of filetred water.

Recently NGT court has banned use of RO for less than 500 TDS water .But they still do sell . Once sold, sales team disappears and customer service comes in and wont hear all this. It is unfair trade, looks like. Still it is compnay only .is not it?

First, one should get water tested from a recognised lab or of local water department. If you have water supply of govt no need normally to use RO. Avoid . Simple filter is enough. Test if it have pesticides or heavy metals? Does it have more than 600TDS? Does it taste bad and smelling? if not, then what for you are buying RO filter? There are many varieties launched every year and support is expensive. With so many models companies withdraw support after 3 years . The company is unable to handle work now, it appears. Behaviour is arrogant. One sided communication.

In my case first the customer ID was not issued while selling. Then serial number was not found in compnay database and hence my product was not getting logged in on their digital system of EurekaForbes. After intense follow up and harassment they finally created account after2 months . First different component number was uploaded, then second time it got changed? how is it possible .Fake machine or database? is machine even genuine? Always sold through dealers.

Nothing good can be said about this deal, and Company behaviour, account handling, service quality, price and high service cost . Getting bitter water and unable set TDS.

No one listens and even mails to CEO fell on deaf ears.Not even acknowledgement. More than 21 mails and messages exchanged but still task incomplete. Very very bad.

Buying such items which relates to basic health is dangerous if not genuine and properly serviced by company .It is so time wasting and harrassment.

One more thing, genuine annually needed consumables including membrane are not available in open market and hence there is monopoly in line, by these companies. You cant say if consumable is genuine.

Consumer movement, awareness and government intervention is only way to stop this .

Think and take your decision . We are fed up and sick. My device is installed at Ghaziabad(Delhi NCR). Still bad servcie. Though their simple AG classic three stage filter was enough and had good perfromnace which I bought in 2011.Its annual maintenance was still high 1900 per year but not so much. For people getting tubewell and public supply simple devices are enough unless water testing demands for a RO.

This device I was supplied is useless, continuously troubling, service is very bad and costly and we are sick of all this .
