[Resolved]  Furniture Mart India — Wrong/different product ( sofa ) delivered compared to what shown in website and invoice

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have ordered a Sofa (Royal Leatheer Sofa) from Furniture Mart India web site dated 29the May 2013. The product details are available at http://www.furnituremartindia.com/sofa-designers-india/royal-leatheer-sofa-cream... .

I have also asked for extra theings like increased seating height and two side arm rests along withe theis for which I paid extra money.

The money is paid in advance therough NEFT Bank transfer to company bank account. The invoice details of thee product is as below

The company representative has provided me all thee details on phone and explained thee product. Now I received thee product and thee product actually is not what is shown in thee site. The quality of product is very poor, thee material used is very low quality compare to what is shown to me. Also thee product is not complete in terms of what is mentioned in invoice.

I called thee company and explained theem thee situation and thee person told me to send thee pictures of thee product received. I immediately sent thee pictures to theem and ask for thee returning product and refund my money, but after theat theere is no response from thee company.
I tried calling again and again and now theey are providing vague answers like theey will see what can be done, it may be wrong product delivered, and not talking and cutting calls in between. Most of thee time theey are also not picking my calls.
Now its almost sure theat I am a victim of online shopping fraud. I also do not know what should be my next step as a consumer and is theere a way to get my money back.

i also heard this company (fernicher mart india) and i m an advocate at gujarat ,baroda. and i will take legal step on it. it mins ifiled a suit against the company, and anybody part of this harrasment like me, then support me we shoh who we are? i prepare my case and next week i filed the suit so anybody is intrested then mail me.

Please note this company will just take your money and deliver you a completely diffrent rotten item. They dont entertain any phone calls or complaints after delivery. You will have to do with what they supply. They are cheats and i intend to take them to court
Yes, this is exactly what happend with me. Got a very rotten item and then no body is responding. Trying to check all possible options to get to them but not able to succeed till now.
I too wanted to take them to court but not sure how to go for it. Let me know if you are plannning for the same, I can support it too.
I bought L-shaped sofa through website furnituremartindia's website and paid the full amount in advance. They gave me account details to which I deposited the money. I received the goods after weeks of delay and following up. I received extremely inferior & damaged goods which were different from those advertised. The sofa set was not packed properly. It was just in a huge plastic gunny bag. No padding and packaging material to protect the sofa. On receiving the sofa we noticed that it was not the sofa advertised on the website. Two units were sent in different colour and material. The sofa was torn on all sides and fiber was oozing out. The metal bars of the sofa were cracked, dented and chipped off the paint. When this was reported to them with photos, they suggested us to assemble and try using it. We did it, it was horrible sofa. It was damaged and also made horrible creaking noise when anyone sat on it. They suggested they will send out cushion covers and asked us to get it repaired. The carpenters suggested that since it is torn and dented it only needs to be replaced. There cushions too never reached us. They later agreed on exchanging it with another sofa. Now that we have chosen a sofa and also ready to pay the difference amount, the company now refuses to replace or refund my money in return for the products despite stated return policy.

After almost a month, they agreed to exchange it and gave us only with 2 options. The previous one or the other was 40, 000 INR. They convinced me saying this one has 5 years warranty and solid wood. This time I was also asked to pay extra for the transportation. The history repeated with follow up calls everyday. Late delivery and once again broken item. The item was received by a neighbor which was only signed by them to acknowledge the acceptance. It was placed in my living room by delivery guys and was untouched. Furniture Mart now claims it was broken in my house or in transit. We do not want a broken repaired sofa for 40, 000 INR after 6 months wait. They say refund is rule out. Please beware and never get carried away by the image in website. The real products are real bad.

I had placed an order for a sofa-bed, and after dishonoring their commitment to deliver the product by a particular date, more than once, they have sent me something that is absolutely sub-standard and indeed, looks used. I have realized their business model is to promise fancy products and deliver cheap remakes. The packaging, by the way, is done in guthka wrappers, and rice and flour storage sacks. I have tried endlessly (and obviously failed) to reason with them to have my money refunded.

I am the latest victim from this company. But, during 1st correspondance after placing order, i found some cheating from this company and started collecting proofs against them by sending sms, emails and recording calls... . I am now on safer and strong side against this company. I hv paid rs. 25000 in advance but returned the material by not accepting the delivery. But to make case very very strong, please send me email to [protected]@gmail.com with photos and other proofs like payment, order/invoice, details about complaints made by you and response received etc. Let us throw out such fraud company. Please also share the link of this page to as many as people under a copy to this company to save people from such company. Hi; I too have faced the same about last 6 months back.
The pictures provided on thier website are just photoshoped abd the actual brands of which pictures they have on thier website do not have a single dealer all over india.
I received my sofa in a damaged condition as well as when I had complained about it; they asked to mail the pictures, which I did.but after that they stopped receiving my calls etc.
I suggest all we join hands and take legal action .

I finally received the shipment from Mumbai after 18 grueling days during which I have tried to contact them on every single day. They had promised to ship the item in 3 business days. They hired a pathetic V express courier who took it around for an India tour. The two bags with the beans were torn and I had to literally collect the beans from my floor and shove them back into the bag!!! I was promised by the person whose contact no. is [protected], that if the shipping charges exceed Rs. 1000/-, the extra expense will be borne by the company. The total shipping charge was Rs. 1944/- and so, I claimed the extra expense. I never understood that how a 5 kg cargo attracted such a high shipping charge. But, to my disappointment, they didn't respond for four months to my email. I have lost count of the number of calls placed to contact them, but to no avail. It looked like the initial tall claims were just a ploy to make a sale. Finally, after four months of persistent struggle they credited RS. 400/- instead of Rs. 944/- to my bank a/c. It's the amount of time, patience, money in the form of STD calls that frustrate you beyond repair.

I suggest you to not fall prey to the air brushed images on the store's website. If you make a purchase, insist on getting prior info about the courier service. I believe that like every human, a business should have ethics too. If the ethics are faulty, the company should pay the price. I hope you all learn from this incident and make an informed purchase.

we had ordered two sofa cum bed and got delivered on 26th march in damaged condition and with different size and specification and design .

we have given them advance payment of Rs. 28000/- + transportation charges (Rs.1678/- by cash) by internet banking online.

after many phone calls reminder they are not ready to refund or listen anything,

1. Color supplied is not as per order. 2. In chair position, two back side not remains together. One remains hanging which can damage stiching of cloth due to tension. Refer website for actual images. 3. Pillow supplied is very small size. Refer their images on website. 4. In bed position, levelling is very un-even and totally not suitable for sleeping. 5. One end leg of bed slips inside itself so one can get head injury. 6. Overall quality is finishing is of lowest grade. Even they hace not provided even a single coat of red oxide to metal frame structure. Its very funny they claim big words and sentances about quality though they do not that any metal requires red/black oxide coating. 7. Compare images i hv put here with their website.

Now, the main thing. This supplier is cheating with people under the illusion of one point that he believes a strong reason in favour of him. Actually, he is not knowing that this is his biggest weak point. Please wait. Many of such sufferers are in touch with me. Furniture Mart India Review : I bought sofa bed L shaped from Furniture Mart India on Ebay since I read the bad reviews here . I complained about the same to Furniture Mart India and they promised delivery within 10 days. Well, I received within 3 days and full installation and I am a very satisfied customer. I reside in Andheri, Mumbai. They paid me two extra cushions to write this review.

In any case, I do not have any regrets buying from them.
Yes count me in - I think there must be a way to take a joint action and to end this company

I have exactly the same experiences - if they do pick up the phone or answer e-mails they simply lie! But most of the time they do not pick up.

I have had a such a horrible experience with Furnituremartindia.com. They operate on the basis of cheating and fraud. They show a superior product on their website and deliver absolute junk. They now refuse to answer any emails or refund the money...
