Goibibo — Amount refund - free cancellation | |
Hi, I booked hotel in GOIBIBO website for 9th & 10th Jan 2016. While i checking it showed as FREE cancellation in the main page. I booked the hotel and i have cancelled the booking on the same day 21st dec but i got the refund amount SMS 50% only. I check ed the cancellation policy it stated that ..FREE Cancellation until DEC 25 till 10.00AM.. Next line - 50% until DEC 25 till 10.00AM.. What is the differnce between First line policy and second line cancellation policy. I booked on 21st december and i have cancelled on the same day. So they have to pay the full amount back. Even I have the similar case...
I have booked a hotel for 31st Dec on 28th Dec.. [Booking ID : HTL53QYLYK]. At the Time of booking all the communication presented on Portal/App says that its “Free Cancellation upto Dec 29”. Attached are the Screenshots of the same… But the Voucher generated post booking says “Non-Refundable” along with other Conditions…
Since ~3:00 PM 28th, I have been trying to Connect with Goibibo representatives to get it cancelled… Despite many calls and waiting, the only reply I get is that it will take some time… From 3:00 PM to Evening 9:00, to next day morning to noon to evening to night again. Response to Last night call was also the same that by 30th 10:00 my problem will be resolved. But it came to no-surprise at 11:00 when I called today, they again said to be resolved by evening [And the matter is escalated to Hotel Authorities].. I have got my entire plan on a toss.
Even when I have called The Hotel, they said that they cannot help in any manner in this regard, as the cancellation policies are already with Goibibo.
Then Finally I got connected with Ms. Vidushi (Said to be Channel Representative of Hotel booking from Goibibo side for Tulip Garden). I was again given time till 2:00 PM to resolve the matter.
So when I called up few minutes back, Finally the outcome is that I cannot cancel the booking…..
Sorry to say but the Most bitter experience with Goibibo…
My point is when all the communications (as attached) say that it’s a cancellable booking, Why customer is a victim of policy discrepancy between you and Hotel……
The Complaint numbers are as Follows : 1140032, 1140227, 1152017, 1155878 and many more….
It’ll be a no show from my side on this booking tomorrow, Please suggest the next course of action to have my money back……
