Goibibo has overcharged me for two bookings
Their app had a bug in their system due to which a discount listed in the first hotel listings page was not accounted for when you go to book a hotel.
Eg. When I booked the Corporate at Kolkata the price on the listings page was shown as 4000 minus 160 = 3840.
However when I booked the price was 4000.
Their representative alerted the tech team to this mistake, rectified it on the app since then and admitted that I had been overcharged. However they are refusing to give me a refund.
ALL CUSTOMERS who have booked before August 05, 2015 have been overcharged and should claim a refund from them.
Another issue I faced was their ridiculous customer care who only copy pasted replies to the complaint from a script with the wrong issue, wrong name and sometimes even sent blank emails.
Whether this is a genuine mistake or a scam on their part I do not know however they should make things right by refunding all their overcharged customers.
