Gotogate Etraveli Group — Refund fraud

The company is conveniently holding onto amounts even when the airline has successfully refunded the money to the company. They are scamming a big amount this way from multiple traveler.

Original ticket booked though Gotogate.in (a Swedish travel company belonging to the Etraveli group. My dxb - trv flight was cancelled by the airline (indigo) and full refund issued to gotogate/Traveli on that very same day. I was on a visit visa with my entire family and hence had to make alternate arrangements to avoid overstay on my visit visa and return back to India.

I have been constantly trying to contact gotogate since September for my refund to be issued to me. Initially they blamed the airline for not issuing the refund, but I got that clarified after speaking to indigo and receiving a mail from them on the amount. So the amount is with Gotogate/etraveli group since September 2020, but they are not refunding this.
I receive some random communication stating that the amount is still being processed, but I don't think any company should take 6 (SIX) Months to process a payout especially when the amount has been credited to your account 6 months ago. This all points out to Gotogate's fraudulent behaviour. Their India helpline number never works, if you need to reach them, you need to call the US number listed on the global site gotogate.com and then the call lands up in the Indian call centre. I am very sure they are trying to siphon such refunds from may other traveler as well. I know this is a tough time, but don't blame it on the covid19 situation for this never-ending delay. Conveniently in their communication, they don't mention any dates or timelines and blame it on the COVID19 pandemic. I am already consulting a lawyer to go legal and also claim the additional amounts that I had to spend because of this entire ordeal when I was in a foreign country.
