[Resolved]  Hathway — Changed my plan, asked me to pay and then disappeared

Dear Sir, I am using Hathway broadband connection for last 4 years. My account no. is 612729. Representative (Sanjeev) from Hathway called me at the time of renewal during last week of September 2014. Asked me to renew it to new plan that has 50MB bandwidth. But for the new plan, my existing modem is required to be changed as it doesn't support the new 50MB bandwidth. He confirmed me that if I make the payment today itself, will ensure to fit me in new plan and send his guys for the change of modem. Cost for change in mode which was included in the plan. And so I made the payment immediately through Net Banking. Today its almost 3 weeks, nothing has been done so far. I am still with OLD MODEM. Everyone disappeared. I have called 6-8 times in customer support and every time they say within 2 days it will be but no luck. So, I have paid the bigger amount for the new bandwidth but still on old connection. Inspite of being harsh in my last 2-3 calls to customer support people, they aren't affected with it. I have even asked them for the refund but they have are even denying it. I don't know how to deal with such fraud people who fools their customer, take their money but don't provide services to them. Please Advise!!! Regards Manav Sain [protected]

Sorry, its Sandip...not Sanjeev.
Still no updates from Hathway. They don't even respond to my email and no one picks up my phone. If I call at their toll free number, I get standard answer - WE HAVE TAKEN YOUR REQUEST and OUR REPRESENTATIVE WILL GET CONNECTED IN NEXT 48 HOURS. Last week I got a call from Hathways, I am assuming that it was because I have posted my complain here. They assured me that will get this replaced within a day or 2 but now its almost 5 days.

Very disappointed with HATHWAY. I strongly recommend people not to use it.

Thank god Manav, we 10 of our friends thought of taking HATHWAY, as we have to deal with a project but after reading your complaint we finally stoppped our idea. Might be in a plan to pull out our friends who are in HATHWAY and go for better service. When proper customer service is not provided its worst taking the worst connections from the worst service providers and wasting our time taking to the worst customer serivce
