[Resolved]  Hathway — enforcing us to take higher plan which is not required

MBPS: NOPT. Account #: 1285496 MTS Location: Poonam Nagar, Andheri (E). Package Subscribed: DS 50 MBPS US / HD 1 STREAM 50. Plan Commenced : 28th Feb 2015. ( for 3 months ) Plan: Unmilited 30 GB ( 10 GB per month ) / 50 mpbs / 512 kpbs Expiry of Plan: 27th May 2015. Paid Rs. 1800 /- All inclusive for 03 months. ( Rs. 600 /- per Month ) Sub : Reply to your Renewal Call. Dear Sirs, Three Months back when your Officials had approached us with their Proposal to market your Internet & Cable TV connection business in our Twin Tower CHSL comprising of 150 Flats + Shops, We including Committee & other members of Society unanimously decided to accept your Proposal on Mutual benefit on one side by co-operating you to enhance your company’s Internet & Cable TV Connection business vis-a-vis to provide all the subscribers of the Society the ‘ Lowest rate, Hassle free & Fastest internet connection ’ with existing 10 GB plan (50 mpbs – Rs. 600/- pm all in) as well as other plans depending upon the requirement & usage of all other individual members of the society. On consideration of above mutual benefit, we had opted to subscribe for 10 GB – 50 mpbs plan (Rs. 600/- pm all in - which is already more than our Usage plan ) i.e for which we paid Total Rs. 1800/- for 03 Months. At the time of availing subscription, your officials had committed that after 03 months we need to renew & will get the benefit of same plan with same price. (Please Kindly make a note of this). However, some days back, ironically, we were amused when we received a call for renewal from your company & compelled us to renew for 15GB plan- 50 mpbs (Rs. 913/-All in pm) which we neither require nor affordable & secondly it’s more than our daily usage. Almost 95 % of the subscribers of Hathway Internet Connection from our Society are Residential subscribers & NOT COMMERCIALS ! Hence, compelling residential subscribers to change to 15 GB – 50 mpbs plan (Rs. 913/- All in pm) is neither affordable nor acceptable & is totally unjustifiable to us & other society members who have subscribed the same plan of 10GB – 50 mpbs ( Rs. 600/- all in pm ) plan. You can neither cheat consumers by giving attractive offers initially for 03 months & then show your true unethical & unprofessional colours nor you can just raise your hands & go back from your committed words & say that now onwards 10 GB -50 mpbs plan is closed !! just because your company can’t afford or may be for any other reason, ethically it’s not right & why should we suffer for it !! …. If it was so decided earlier, then why did your company offered this plan initially ???? Just to grab the customers from our Society ?? Do you think we all members are fools to listen your such scrap reasons !!! And most ironic is that the same 10 GB plan – 50 mpbs still exists in your website Tariff plan !! then how can you lie us that this plan is shut !! SETTLEMENT / RELIEF SOLUTION : We request to kindly escalate the issue seriously and resolve immediately with permanent solution by renewing with same existing plan of 10GB – 50 mpbs (Rs. 600/- pm all in) in addition to more extra speed than existing without any extra cost. In case above problems are not solved, we including our Society will be compelled to permanently terminate Hathway Internet & Cable TV connections from our Society & switch over to alternate reliable & responsible ISP. Hope that the top management will take necessary action immediately in appropriate manner so that they don’t work in unethical and inappropriate manner in future and no consumer should be fooled by them.
