[Resolved] Hathway — Irregular Internet Connectivity | |||
I am facing this problem with Hathway Mumbai from more than 6 months now. Every three to four days there is no connectivity. Every time the complaint lodged the customer care executive provides a complaint no. and says that it will be attended by the engineer but no one visits our place. Then suddenly the Internet is working and again the same problem after another three days. Then last week their executive called and advised us that since a long time we are facing the problem with connectivity it would be better for us to upgrade to 50Mbps download plan where they will be changing the modem and thats it. But again we are facing the same problem. I really want hathway to solve the problem with their servers with Immediate effect. Awaiting your kind reply for the same. I have been a customer of hathway internet for the last 7 years or more. In the last one year, the internet connectivity has glaring discrepancies. Every alternate day, the internet is defunct for 5-6 hours, especially so in working hours. I have made atleast 15 calls to the customer care in the last 3 months for the same. The stagnant replies from the company have gotten to my nerve. I am always told that the server is down and there's some maintenance work going on. Do these people carry out maintenance twice a week and that too in working hours without any prior notice. On june 27th, internet stopped working at 11:30 pm and the service was resumed in the morning at 7:00. Again, it stopped functioning from noon to 11:30 the next day, 28th june. What is the use of paying so much for unlimited internet when it is not going to work round the clock.
Also, i have complained more than thrice about a login screen which appears for no rhyme and reason. In the middle of giving an exam online, the connection fails and it demands a re login. When i keep my computer on for downloading, randomly a login screen pops up and downloads fail. My complaint has fallen on deaf years.
Three months ago, i paid a cheque of 4830 rupees for 50 mbps fup 15gb connection for 6 months. At the end of three months, i was told that my renewal date is around and i have to pay 2500 more for 3 months connection, and that i hadnt paid for the 3 months that i had used. In all, 5000 i had to pay. Apparently, they forgot to add an entry of my cheque in their system. In my prepaid account, they showed -2500 as balance and asked me to cough up the amount after using the services for which i had already paid. My 60 year old father was troubled a dozen times with phone calls. A person even came to my house demanding money.
After all these grievances, I believe i am left with no choice but to suffer with the shoddy services for the next three months. In case my grievances are not resolved by an officer of the least class of a senior executive, i shall make sure that most grieving residents of my building switch to a rival internet company.
