I stopped using Hathway broadband services around since April/May 2021. I have been asking the Hathway team to Terminate my account every time I get a call from them since then. But they are not terminating my account and keep on calling me and asking me to renew the account by paying some charges.
This happened on 15th April 2022. One of the Hathway person called me and said this way: As you are not using the services for longer time you have been charged with penalty amount (Not sure its some 4000+) or pay 300 rupees to use at least for one month. Only then they can terminate/Close my account.
(I don't think Hathway has this kind of process because when i called Hathway customer care after 10 to 15 days of the payment they haven't said about all this process in order to terminate the account).
I asked for an email conformation regarding the whole discussion which we had. She said EMAIL conformation will be sent to registered EMAIL address once the payment is done. I transferred 300 rupees to the link which she has asked me to transfer to. (That is a genuine Hathway link as i received the Amount conformation from Hathway team through EMAIL) but i did not receive account termination details in the EMAIL. Asked her regarding that, but she said me to wait for sometime to receive the EMAIL which i did not receive till this current day.
Since i paid 300 rupees on 15th April 2022. They have recharged the account and deactivation date was updated to 14th May 2022 which i received conformation from Hathway through text message and call from customer care also.
Current date is 21 May 2022. Now again these Hathway people are calling me multiple times to recharge the account even after it is deactivated.
Today (21 May 2022) I called the same person who has asked me to pay the penalty amount / recharge about status of termination of my Hathway account. She dropped of the call saying she will verify the account details and will call back in 10 mins. Later she did not call me back and even not lifting the call when i am calling back.
Kindly requesting the Hathway team to please terminate/close my Hathway account completely and i should not receive the calls anymore. (Account ID : [protected]) Was this information helpful? |
