[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — No due certificate

This is Benny Stephan. I had been using the HDFC credit card for more than a year and I had to take a sabatical due to health issues for 9 months and I still managed to make the payment on time even when I was jobless except for 2 to 3 months where I couldn't make the payment of Rs60000. When I could not make the payment, HDFC Bank started calling me everyday and asked me for payment and I had informed them that I was Jobless and that I will make the payment at the earliest. I got a job and my salary account was with HDFC Bank and the HDFC Collections department had put my salary on hold and had taken the entire amount Rs60000 and they told me that I did not owe anything to HDFC Bank anymore and they also informed that the HDFC credit card is permanently blocked. In August, 2016 HDFC Bank has generated another Bill of Rs58 and they had emailed the statement. I was not aware of any such bill to be paid. I called HDFC credit card department and I was informed that I need to pay Rs58 and the representative scheduled a call back from the Collections department. I got a call today from the Collections department and they had informed me that I need to pay Rs58 and they will provide me the No due certificate and also that I need to wait for additional 45 days for the Cibil report to say blank. I also don't understand the term blank used by the HDFC Bank Collections department. I was also not given any information about the reward points that I had been accumulating on the HDFC credit card. Anyway, I have made the payment of Rs60 towards the HDFC Credit card today and I hope to get a call back from the HDFC collections department within 3 days as promised by representative from HDFC credit card department.This was the worst experience I ever had with HDFC Bank. I had read a lot about HDFC Bank not providing the No due certificate to their customers.
