HDFC Bank ERGO Insurance — Preemptive policy modification without informing customer and unethical business practices | |||||
I was asked for previous years policy document after 2 months of policy issuance from hdfc ergo and i already provided cover note of my previous years policy within a week of an email request from you, then again i saw an email asking for full policy document and not only cover note.. Please note its not necessary that ill be monitoring my mail at each and every time. Its your duty to call and follow up if you need any additional verification or document. Then i receive e-mail stating that previous years policy was invalid, how can you say that policy was invalid?? Give me a proof of your communication with my previous insurer (Icici lombard). I have a authentic policy document and while renewing policy with you i already provided the policy number at www.policybaazar.com If such was the case then you shouldn't have accepted the premium from me for new policy with you. Why did you wake up in june and suddenly ask for verification of previous policy?? I bought policy from you in march'16 and you are realizing it in june?? This is crap! And also i haven't received any courier or document from you for this!! Your stupid call center staff doesn't understands the meaning o[censored]pdating address which i communicated at the time of buying policy only. You must have taken address from vehicle rc which is my old address and start sending couriers for no reason on old addresses!! Is this good customer management.. I regret having renewed policy with you. I should have continued with icici lombard. After verifying previous years policy and asking for some additional amount to re-instate the policy its moire than 1 week and no action has been taken on that by the company. I have followed up enough on this and have no other choice apart from raising it to consumerforum. If any of the policy clauses are modified and are not re-instated immediately, i will not be responsible for any claims through the policy i would consider the policy conditions at the time of buying it and would expect any claim regarding it to be settled.
