Ibibo Group / Goibibo — Booked a hotel through Goibibo, but the room was not actually booked by the hotel | |
Planned a trip to Kodaikanal, with my family along with brothers family. Booked two room through Goibibo. Booking accepted and amount also been paid. After reaching there, in hotel reception, it has been told that no bookings happened as such and all the rooms are already full. The hotel name is mount park, Kodaikanal. Then the guy said many bookings are happening in similar way, as we had tie ups with OYO and now due to some issue, we are not in the deal, but still OYO is making bookings for our hotel. Surprisingly, we made booking through Goibibo and seems they have some tie up with OYO. There was no proper answer from OYO or from the hotel Mount park. Then Goibibo said, we can not do anything we will cancel the booking and if required you can book some other hotel and this money will be back in 7 working days. They said just sorry for this. It was peak time as three days continuous holiday and we are with our family without clueless. Worst scenario, OYO and goibibo are not properly organized and simply creating a mess and the hotel guy did not responded properly at all after some time. Then after half a day we managed to get a hotel out of the city with higher cost. Was this information helpful? | |
