Complaint marked as Resolved Issue is resolved and refund was credited to my account.
Steps followed were
- cancelled the flight booked from goibibo app with a note that i wish to get refund for onward journey .
- goibibo customer care executive called to confirm on the cancelation. I explained him the issue and he ensured that they will look into the matter.
- Next day, I received another call from Goibibo team briefing me the process. they said that since the PNR includes onward and return journey, canceling it will also cancel my return journey. As i wanted the return journey to be valid, i requested them to cancel only the onward journey.
He did the same but with a assurance that refund can only be initiated once i travel on my return journey. I had to raise a ticket for refund after my return journey.
The same was processed and i got my refund amount today.
Thank you Goibibo team for the support. Can rely on you folks for the booking.
However request you to make your app a little more robust.
There are no proper guidances on how to obtain refund when flights r canceled by airlines/ when we cancel flights direct from airline website.
Ibibo Group / Goibibo customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
