I made a booking via goibibo after going through their certified hotel list. The pictures and location were not even close to the real description. On arriving, i could not ask for a cancellation as the booking was non-refundable and i stayed there for the first night.
On the second night, there was a heavy knock on my room window and i noticed a few men outside on the adjoining building's terrace staring into my room. I am a female, i was alone in that room and i didn't know what to do in the middle of the night. There was nobody at the reception and the location was not safe for me to leave.
It took all of my courage to run from that place at 4 am and rush to the next nearest hotel. I came back to that hotel in the morning and took all my luggage, but the hotel said they wouldn't refund the rest of the amount as it was non-refundable.
I request a refund of my booking amount for the remaining 2 nights and the amount i paid to book another hotel for 2 days. This is highly disappointing on the company's part to have given a 4.2 rating and certification to this hotel. Pathetic service, no safety, no decency. I want the refund, definitely.
