[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Account closure and kyc related | |
I went to the branch where i have my instasavings account for closure of the same but the staff told me to first do kyc updation for taking the application of the same. I agreed and the issue was from the bank servers as they were not able to get my kyc done, they asked me to visit the next day and so i agreed. I visited the branch again the next day but still the kyc cannot be done. Even the video kyc is not working in the video banking app. The staff says unless the kyc gets done, i cannot close my account. And they only are not able to get the kyc done. I insisted them to take the true copies along with my originals to verify my kyc but they say the only way is to do it in their system and not physically. So the main thing is i cannot close my account, i have maintained zero balance because of the same and hence i would then be charged low maintenance charges on my account all because the bank cannot accept originals and true copies as kyc.
